I want to pick up a small air hose reel and mount it on the wall. I don't realy have a desire for a pull out locking hose reel a manual wind is perfectly fine for me.

I like this one because it takes up about a 1fx1' area so it's pretty small when I measure it against the wall. Don't really need 50' of hose but I guess since it comes with it that's ok. Not sure how durable or flexible the hose is but I guess I could use it for long runs to the middle of the driveway.

Just wondering if anyone has experience with one like this? I dislike the ones that look like forks that you wind up.. just seems like a pain in the but. This one also looks like my garden hose reel by Rapid Reel and I am quite pleased with that design.

Thanks,
-Nigel

That looks exactly like the Harbor Freight hose reel that is 1/3 the price. I have had mine for a year and have had no problems at all.

Nigel...I got one of those with my 'new to me' used air compressor (it had a bracket to mount it on the side of the compressor.) I really don't like it (It curls the hose too tight for my tastes...I would rather just loop the hose on hook, if I don't have an automatic hose reel).

Anyway, I'd be happy to sell you mine, $30 shipped, WITHOUT hose. Mine is black, I believe. It looks like a brand new reel, which has been sitting out in a shop for 10 years. There are no wear marks on it. The brass fittings look like the day the came from the factory. If you are interested at all, I'd be happy to send you some pictures and handle this with a PM. Kev

didn't even look there, just checked it out and you are right..! It's on backorder though.

3/8 hose might be small depending on what you are using the air for.

I have 3/8" hose now and it powers all my air tools fine, so I don't think it would be an issue.
