If they sell by the piece check the difference between by the piece and by the box,most times you will find the box price very appealing.
Galvanized is gonna be pricey no matter what......extra steps = extra cost.
If you buy galv at different places make sure they mate up.Some are made under size to account for the plating and then chased to clean them up.Others just plate and chase so nuts from one place may not fit bolts from another.
One other thing I learned recently from a friend that has worked in China.At 6PM they shut off all electric power so whatever product is in the heat treat ovens gets left......good mfg processes

and no,they don't throw it out,it goes in with the rest of the product.......can you say grade 8 rubber bands?
