one of the coolest garages/bunker type things I have seen, and I thought my garage/workshop was cool!
I like the passageway from the house to the bunker, and the scooby doo bookcase/door.

I'll get the brand name for you. It was a company locally that I ordered it from and they did the install. 8000lbs, 180" long 109" wide 78" under runways.

Utah, WOW!!!
I've been reading this for the past hour and notice many drool stains.
That is the coolest garage I've seen. After I win the Lottery, can I borrow that napkin?
With a garage like that I could get alot more **** at yard sales..

I recently signed off on the construction of a new 42' x 65' garage. I have spent a lot of time with the architect trying to figure out how to shoe horn in a recording studio. He suggested I make the garage deeper 85'. After reading this post (Every page) I sent the contractor a notice putting the project on hold. This is my solution, if I build underground as you did I will have plenty of space for my studio. I never considered a room underneath because I had not seen it done as you did it. Thanks for the pictures and information. I think I will post my progress as my project proceeds.

I started reading this thread and after the first page I noticed that all your posts have been deleted up to the end of page 5 at which point I quit reading for now. It is like reading a book that has a bunch of pages ripped out. Was there a reason for this? Why should I continue to read this thread? :dunno:

Just Wondering.

Cheers

Thanks for keeping your thread going on this site.

I followed your thread on AVS some time ago and cut and pasted several photos from your "bookshelf pocket door" for reference as I am building a dedicated theater in my basement.

Read from start to finish this evening.

Thanks again for sharing your progress with us.

Very, very nice! Is this going to be the first garage thread to hit 1 million? Probably any day!

Very polished build. Where folks may be worlds apart in their lives, some with 1-car garages and others with Ferraris in there garage(s), it is really cool to see them come together under the common ground of having fun out in a garage.

You have inspired a lot of folks. Don't stop:)

utah997,
Congrats on reaching the 1 million mark! I thought for sure that you'd get there before our restored auto shop did. Your place is great and it's obvious you've put lots of time/effort into creating a space to work in. The rule is:
You fill the space you have...and more...!
