Genie Blue Max- any adjustment for closing force?

I have a Genie Blue Max CM-8500S garage door opener. It will not close the door all the way without opening back up. I checked that the sensor does not blink at all and the door passes the balance test (it closes and opens by hand easily). I can't find a manual online. Can somebody tell me if there an adjustment screw for closing force? I looked all over the unit, but hopefully I'm just missing it. Thank you.

Since I first posted, I found where the two adjustment open and close screws should be. This model just has the holes in the metal plate. Just for the hell of it, I adjusted the nylon nut behind the motor at the end of the shaft with no results. Any help is appreciated.

Well, from everything I have read since my last edit, I have to adjust the closing force. But since that is not an option for my opener I guess I will have to replace it. Anybody?

I think that there is a stop at the garage door opening end of the track that should stop, trip the circuit. I would move that further from the door opening to see if it stops. Sorry it is kinda veague, I am at work, and not 100% sure.

The down force is adjusted by tightening the nylon nut. Can you hold the button on the wall down and get it to close? If so that is def the sensors and not the downforce. That model genie has clutches that will wear out and it doesn't matter how tight you get the nut on the back it will not help.

Yea, holding the button in does not work and tightening the nylon nut does not work either. Off to Home Depot I go. Thanks for all responses.

I was also having problems with the door getting halfway shut and then re-opening. Sensors, fine. I tried to adjust the bolt at the back, but it was as loose as it went. Any further and it wouldn't catch.

All you have to do is disconnect the door from the main power screw, and then reconnect it a little bit further down. It only took me one more nylon nut tightening to get right.

Problem solved!
