I love it when the man in brown shows up at my door!!!!! lol
Ordered a couple bucks worth of tools from Snap-On 3am yesterday morning and they showed up at my door today at 2pm.... got 12pt 1/2" SAE and MM socket sets, 12pt 3/8" SAE and MM socket sets, SAE and MM wrenches, 3 pc ratchet set 1/4 3/8 1/2", vacuum and pressure pump kit, wire strippers and plug wire pliers. Feels good swapping out all the junk for good tools!!! This is only the first order, theres another one in the planning right now.

Inspired me never to pay retail for Snapon. I didn't get nice tools until I was 50. ;)

OTOH if I bought that $1000 of Snapon I would know what its like to be single again.

The wife knew about all the tools being bought, cant really put my auto repair degree to use without the tools!!! She had to push me into buying them since we also just had our first son 3 weeks ago, i really didnt want to spend the cash on tools but she pointed out i cant put the degree to use without them!!! LOL Got to love a woman that MAKES you buy tools!!!

Might have to put the 2nd order on hold. Ive found a KRL722, flat black with metallic red trim and corner bumpers for $1000. Fingers crossed!!!!! The guy posted it for sale 4 months ago for $4000 and has lowered it down to $1500 OBO.

I would put the tool order in over the toolbox, buy an inexpensive box, but good, then stuff it full of tools. WHen you cant get anymore into the box, then upgrade or add on. Remember, the box just holds you tool, but does not make you money, the tools do. And nice set of tools.:beer:

That blue roll cart is already over full, ive got tools ive been collecting for 20 years (got my first set of C-man wrenches at 10yrs old). My father was also a mechanic and has boxes of old tools he no longer uses that i have no room for. Im just now replacing of all the Craftsman, S-K and other brands (mostly junk). So ive got more hand tools than 5 men would need and most all the diagnostic tools needed with the exception of a nice scan tool. Id rather spend $1000.00 on a 5000.00 box to hold most everything i have than leave a few grand worth of equipment sitting open in the bottom of the roll cart like it is now.

Our rep is pretty cool but he told me he makes no money on students and you get the tools quicker if you order online than from him so thats what i do. Ive used almost all of the 2750.00 i can spend but ive got a couple of friends that are not going to use their accounts, i get to use whatever i want from them.

I was lucky this year and found out because of my wife and i having our first child i qualifyed for a Pell grant. I took out student loans to buy the tools with.
