Corner guards for tool boxes...

Just wondering if there is a source for corner guards (or whatever they are called) for mobile tool boxes. I am finding that the corners can take a beating with things constantly being moved around in the garage and would rather have a guard in place than let my box take the brunt of it. I would prefer plastic or rubber as opposed to metal. If anyone knows of a source please post it or if you have a good idea share it.

I like that idea as an option. Looking for something that won't scratch something that contacts the guard also. Thats why I was wondering about plastic or rubber.

Just buy some aluminum angle at your local box store and put it on with foam tape. You can get the foam tape at places like Advanced Auto, AutoZone, or any of those places. It's the tape they use to hold on mouldings. As far as the aluminum angle, you can leave it as is or spray it with bedliner or paint it to match whatever.

Go to your local Home Depot/Lowes and buy the clear plastic corner protective moldings for outside wall corners. Usually 1" wide with adhesive strips on the inside. IIRC about $5 for a 12" stick. Cut with hacksaw.

Aluminum angle will work. I was hoping there was a plastic or rubber alternative that would have been a little more forgiving on stuff that came into contact with the box.

Try looking in the home child proofing section at Lowes or HD. There are some white plastic/rubber Hearth guards that you stick on your fireplace hearth edge. They are soft and won't scratch. I cut to length, trimmed and painted mine black with Duplicolor trim/bumper paint. They look like they came on it.

My wife stuck them all over the furniture for our (yet to be walking) 9-month old...

The ones she got are a fairly firm tough rubber.
