New Rule for the forum - No discussion of PVC air lines, don't ask don't tell.

I don't know how many forums I have seen where this topic drags the thread into a lot of what ifs and arguing. Could we maybe have a sticky thread created with just information about why you should and OSHA doesn't allow it. Then when ever someone makes a PVC use comment, we can post a link to the sticky. I am sick of the arguing, if someone sees the facts and uses it anyways, then so be it.

quit fighting them. Some lessons are better learned by first time experiance. Nothing says "Thats ****'s dangerous" like getting a four foot section of PVC removed from your chest down at the ER.

When it comes to using PVC pipe my mind is made up, please don't try to confuse me with facts!

There are many subjects amongsk the forums that are hot buttons for someone. When I see certian subjects come up I just click out and find something else to peruse, I give you permission to do the same as I've found that banging my head against some walls hurt and does no good.

No, actually, by the standard of most codes, if you are doing a test on a Drainage waste and vent system you are allowed to pressurize the system to a load of 3 PSI across a period of ten minutes and if the gauge does not drop you pass the static pressure test for the DWV system. You can check your code books. And it is safe.
