Make sure you keep it oiled.....mine rusted. I keep it in my truck and you can almost hear the rust spreading on the blade..

What Leatherman Sheath/Case are you using with this model? Looking for something that would would fit the tool somewhat snug.

For the thread: My CX (which is slightly different) is in great shape. Biggest difference is the 1541CM steel on the blade. There's some cosmetic differences, too. The Tungsten DLC coating is another. The blade was the big selling point for me.

Does yours see much humidity? Mine sees moisture quite a bit.

I don't use a sheath. While you could the size of normal one-size-fits-most aftermarket or replacement sheaths would offset any size savings you get with the Skeletool, and the fit wouldn't be very snug.

I have one of these, but without the serrated blade. I got mine on eBay right after they came out and paid about $38. I love this tool! Light weight, just enough stuff on it to make it very useful. I just carry it in my pocket with no problem.

Me too, but I paid $55 or so, maybe $58?

I broke off the tiniest bit off the tip of the knife. Leatherman will replace it if I send it back, but I like having the plain edge blade.

Stuey ... you are BAD .. you are making me spend money :) Thanks for the heads up
hehe, sorry. If it makes you feel any better, I also placed an order.

Amazon wish list also tracks price changes now; if something drops after you add it, the savings are highlighted.

Didn't know that, thanks! Are the price drops mentioned at the top or under each product in the listing? I have 500+ items in my wishlist (for longer remembering since my cart sometimes resets) and don't see where price drops are shown.

No, just on the individual products next to the short description. I've got about seven pages in my list. I try to delete stuff when I buy it if I don't use the list button or I buy it elsewhere, but it just keeps growing.
