Scored a vintage Proto Roll Cab Tool Box & Body Hammers

I have been half *** looking for a older Proto box and stumbled upon this jewel today. It is in super great condition and I got it for $150... anybody know the approximate year or model #'s? It is 48" long, 24" deep, and 36" tall... and even comes with 70's drawer liner! I also scored the 1426 & 1428 hammers and 2 dollies for $40. Great day!

Nice score. The double sided Roll Cab is pretty cool. I'd like to have something of that design in the Garage as well. Never seem to find anything even close around Louisville

I have a catalog from the late seventies the I-Rand days and they were in there, I know they had them for along time and they were some of the biggest boxes you could buy.

They are the rare "pebble" handles.

Hammers- as of a month or so ago there was a Proto roll cab and top chest at the Cash America pawn shop on the east side of Louisville off Cannons lane.

That is a great roller... awesome condition, too. Not to mention those nice body hammers. The older Proto/Plomb body hammers are so well balanced. Work great!

I would venture to guess that the box is late 50's just after their switch away from the pressteel "toolmobile" design. Though this is just speculation as I have no catalog references to go by.

But regardless I would have more than happily shelled out that kind of $$$ for that nice of a box... Beautiful! Congrats... and if you ever decide to sell it... you know who to call.
