a "new" car?
Hi RED.
I was looking for some ideas for my own garage project and happened upon this post. I have read over it a few times. First let me congratulateyou on your baby.
Next your garage build is very impressive as are the people who are commenting on your Thread.
I have been building my Project, a Honda Bobber for the last 3 years. but due to commitments to work and family, things pertaining to garage hobbies have a way of making it on the back burner.
That said I will have some time this winter to work on my Garage. I have built a work bench and shelves. I was looking for some ideas to pull and have found so many ideas on the garage Journal.
I am writing on this thread to you because it was your thread that made me join this Group. I hope to post my own pics soon.
Very cool keep up the great work man!

Planer!
Kudos, featured on GJ. What an achievement! You deserve it, though. You've done a fantastic job.
BTW, after our discussions on the DJ saw, I picked up a DJ table saw arbour bracket assembly to modify to see if my ideas will work. No, wait. To demonstrate that my ideas will work. So, if you happen by any barrel nuts that are spares in your searches, keep me in mind.
Dave.

Glad I could help out.
.That's a nice little 6" Craftsman planer, also known as the 'alien' planer
The one I'm keeping my eye out for is this bad boy:

I'm looking for the Craftsman-badged version of this one. I've read of some discussions of them, but they must be pretty rare, as I have never even seen a legitimate photo of a Craftsman-badged one out in the wild. However, finding one isn't the real battle. Having the budget for one, and the floor space...well I don't know how I would do it.
But, if I actually found one, I'm not sure how I wouldn't, either![]()
Well quick update - I can't find my camera cord so I'm trying to figure out what to do here.
Stand by...
