window pellet stove?

It seems like a great idea. A little pricey ,but it looks easy to install and run. I am wondering how efficient they are and how well they are built.

I am looking for a better way to heat my detached garage than the kerosene heater. I am also to busy to get gas out there right now.

Any thoughts or reviews would be helpfull.

I saw one yesterday at a farm and fleet store. It looked the same as that one, it was 1200 bucks. But I didn't look to see who made it. It seemed well built and sturdy, and the picture next to it, showed one installed the same as a window AC with extra supports. Thats about all I know about them. I'd be interested in knowing more myself, as far as venting and circulation.

from what I read there is no venting. It is vented out the back. I believe it also has a fan in it just like an a.c. unit to circulate air. It sounds pretty interesting.

I might buy it ,but am trying to find out some more about it

Unless I was 100% sure I could source common replacement items like augers, drive motors and control boards, I would steer WAY clear of any brand-X pellet stove.

Even the high dollar well built units have regular failures. It is a simple way of life for pellet stoves. But at least with a name brand you can get parts.

We stock a complete line of Enviro stoves at work. Excellent stoves. But even they need replacement parts from time to time. But the parts come in the mail Priority, postage pre-paid.

very solid advice. I have seen people pay out the money for a pellet stove to save money only to go back to natural gas a couple years later. Again to save money
