During Christmastime I noticed many people posted on what their Snappy Guy gave them for the holiday (Socks, Calendar, Book etc...)

Since I meet my snap on guy while he is on his route and always pay cash I never have gotten anything.

When I have had to buy from other Snap on dealers, and bought some stuff They have thrown in a hat or toy truck or something. Not to say it is particularly useful, but it is a nice gesture.

I was always wondering what the dealer used to decide if you were worthy of any gift. If there was any.

Are they still giving away clocks for purchases? (I.E. Toolbox) or something.

What did you buy the last time the Snappy guy (or any tool truck driver) gave you a "freebie"?

A few months ago I kept breaking those BP telescoping pen magnets, almost every two weeks. I was getting them warrantied just fine. One week, I went ahead and bought another for a spare :)bounce:) and he gave me two more "for me". Funny that also I got the first one free with SO's trouble light.

Everytime I climb into the truck I ask what's on special, I always ask what deal he will give me for cash purchase, and what freebies he has. Granted I run up 1000+ in truck credit 4+times a year. And never miss a payment. He usually gives me double the freebies one for my son and one for me...
But most of it is work clothing, hats etc. small tools, pens and toys.

When i met our cornwell guy at work he gave me a pocket screwdriver with his number on it. My boss said he gives out all sorts of stuff throughout the year.

As a dealer I gave away allot of stuff, it all depends on the dealer.
here is a trick to get the stuff, find something (Tool) you want, work him over on the price, (talk cash not truck account or credit) then just before you give in, tell him to throw a little something in like a hat or car. or the deals off and be ready to walk away. trust me, he wants you to have the tool bad enough he will do it, not all the time but to make you happy...but you have to buy something that warrants the BA (Bartering Assistance) product. I turn down allot of BA stuff so I get a better deal later on, like my toolbox I just ordered. ya he still made money but I know it wasn't much.
Its a game They play and if you don't:beer: play too, you will not get the deals or stuff all the time.

Never given anything free for no reason, but my dealer gives free promotional items when you buy certain things.
Like this awesome fold out 3 person chair was free when I bought a 10-19 combo ratcheting wrench set at its normal price
