Ill start this thread, Just show us the pictures of your new tools that you bought and if need be, describe features and benefits. maybe even where you got it from. No old tools please, or ones that you found that you thought you lost years ago in the abyss of your garage. I want to see plastic wrapped sales tagged no fingerprinted or scratched tools. If you are so excited that you get something on it because you...Well just clean it up a bit.

I couldn't decide, and they were all stuck together. so I bought them all.
6.5 lbs magnet, WOW. I can lift the engine with that one, well almost.

I didn't buy these today, but about 5 years ago. This fellow had a tool habit that was much like gambling. He kept buying sets that he didn't need, and kept them at the bottom of his box. One day he asked if I wanted a "deal" and showed me his "stash". I bought what you see, and it has been sitting on a shelf in my office ever since. Don't even know why I bought them, since I didn't need them, but they were priced right. I'll probably hold onto some and sell the rest of it on ebay one of these day.

If you take a look at the time of day it was just past midnight, and yes I did buy it on Saturday. My Snap-on guy lives around the corner from me. I work at a government facility so your tax dollars buys my work tools, so I have to see him after hours. :spit:

No She left them in the garage, I gave her the key pad #. She would also get free stuff that I would tell her to have, after all that was my lively hood she was dealing with...That was wierd, she just knocked on my door. No kidding, While I was just typing this.
Oh yeah...new tools!!!

Well i guess my purchase counts - no photo as of yet but will post one tomorrow. My wife just brought me a KRA2007 roll cab for my 27th birthday... (shame i have to look at it in the wardrobe til the 6th of May, but what the hell , I can`t complain). Picked it up from my Snap-on guy tonight - he threw in some wrench holders, and a snap-on duffel bag (and some cool stickers). I guess this means I`m winning my neighbourhood garage race at present :)

His parting words were kinda scary... be seeing you next month to fill the box with new tools...

It means I don`t get it until my birthday - meaning almost two months of looking at it sitting in our wardrobe (rather than my garage), and hey who can complain when your wife buys you a snap-on roll cab...?

Just received my new replacement cordless kit.....after many many many years of usage, replacing the battery twice, brushes 4 times...the clutch finally gave out on my Makita...it has served it's purpose. So I figured it was time to get something of an upgrade....<drumroll please>.....

They were an impulse buy, curious to see how they last. Even though the bit pieces are hex, they are just pressed into a circular pocket. I cant remember if my Craftsman hex sockets are like this or not... These plastic rails drive me nuts, so much play.

Good old eBay.

Got the price of those blue point/unmarked telescoping inside gauges, you coulda had a set of real Starrett ones! Enco sells that same exact set, from the same manufacturer for $10!

They are Fowlers. I dont rebuild engines to chance with a $10 tool.

Snap On's site refers to them as "unmarked". Im just saying, for the snap on markup, you are close to getting the real deal Starretts. I have a few starrett telescoping guages that are probably 50+ years old and are still good as new. When it comes to measuring instruments, in my opinion, its always worth paying for starrett.

Im all for snap on, most of my tools are snap on, and I'll pay the crazy markup for real snap on made tools, but for other branded goods they sell, I'll take my money elsewhere.

Its just like the OTC made stuff they sell for 3 times the price.

The small, long dykes are snap-on, the long needlenoses are sunex (waiting on fourth one, got wrong one in package), everything else is knipex. Aktoolsonline rules.

New sockets and ratchets (almost all of it):

Yeah, it's Craftsman, they work fine for me. The ratchets will eventually be swapped for Snap-On, but I highly doubt the sockets ever will be. Yes, I need lots more, especially impact.

New (used) Craftsman Pro wrenches, new (used) Snap-On 30/60 wrenches, gear wrenches, and some plain Craftsman Wrenches:

I'm following the OP's rules and showing the original packaging.

This is my new Machinist Surface Plate. It is a 18" x 12" x 3" granite surface plate for doing precision measurements on a plane surface. I am not sure I'll use it much, but for the sale price of $39.00, I couldn't pass it up.

It weighs 71 lbs!!!!!
