min. posts for posting in forsale section

With the recent posts in the forsale section of items from people with 1 or 2 posts, listing items way over priced I think their should be a minium post count to post in the for sale section. Even something as low as 15 would keep the spam posts down I would think and leave the for sale section to those members who actually use this board.

The Price of Any item is in the Eye of the Beholder, The Classifieds have always taken care of themselves. I do think that you should try and contribute to the Forum if your gonna utilze the Classifieds, We have some sellers that just show up every 3-4 days to bump there listings and never give back to the Membership without someone paying for it. Thats a entirely different subject and way above my pay grade though..

I think it should be 500 or 1000 post's before you can use that part of the forum.

A lot of guys are out of work and need to sell their tools to feed their kids and pay rent but there are always guys that abuse the right. I too am out of work for the time being and thanks to you guys that have bought from me i thank you from the heart you helped me out a lot.

Is this why I was just blocked from posting on a thread in the "Made in the U.S.A." subforum?

1000 posts? Really? You know (and, as a forum moderator, you should), the average casual forum member activity is around 0.35 posts per day. That means you want them to wait nearly 8 years before they can post in that section. A more regular member averages 1 post per day, which is still a 3 year wait. A more active user averages 3 posts a day, so they'd crack that requirement in under a year, but you'd realize a more active user is not a spambot much sooner than that. Once you start approaching 10+ posts per day you're tapping into the lonely housewife demographic...

As more of a reader/lurker, I'm sitting at 0.04/day. Does that mean I must wait 68.5 years before I can respond to that thread...?

Hey guys, welcome to the "Made in the U.S.A." forum... Only, it's not really a forum. It's a list. A list of companies that you and I find that offer products made in the U.S.A. How about that?

Rules
It's simple... List only companies/products that you have had success with. All entries must be ALL AMERICAN.

This is not a discussion forum. Please don't use it as such. It's just a list.

Guidelines
To keep this list uniform, please follow our simple formatting guidelines:

Prefix: Pick the category that most closely matches the company/product you are listing.

Subject Line: Enter the name of the company/product you are listing.

Body: Enter a description of the company/product along with any experiences you have had with it. Also include any pertinent contact information such as phone numbers, web site addresses, etc...


Tips
If you are browsing the list, note that you can scroll to the bottom of the page and sort the threads by prefix. In this way, you can see threads only about "Garage Organization" or "Hand Tools" or... You get the idea.
