Any good recipicating saw blades

Are there any good metal recipicating saw blades out there?Have tried Mastercraft sold by Menards and Dewalt including another brand sold by Menards which don't last at all.Two or three cuts,they are dull.Use is for cutting exhausts and exhaust pipe most of the time.

I've cut up a full Porsche or two (yes, the whole shell with all glass) with 2 or maybe 3 life/safety blades on a good corded sawzall for partout/scrap-yard runs.

if you can't get thru an exhaust, then you are buying inferior blades. At a minimum.

I have used the Bosch, great blades. Menards has them. The Milwaukee blades are said to be decent too, have not used them though.

Lenox (one X, not two as listed above) will have tons of options depending on what you want to cut. Made in the US. I'm a bit biased, as I used to be an employee there. The Lazer models will cut through an I beam if you've got a saw with enough amperage. Lowe's and Ace stores carry some selection, professional supply houses will have quite a bit more.

Milwaukee has introduced some nice models recently as well.

Agree. I like both. The only time I use cheaper ones is if I have to break a blade short for clearance or there's a good chance I'm going to wreck it because of the angle/obstruction/etc.

Best/cheapest metal blades I've found are The Ugly by Skil. They're even available at Walmarts for under 3 bucks a blade.

I love the wood one(I use it with a craftsman handle) also they are made in Switzerland.

Fine Woodworking did a review of recip saw blades a year or so ago. Kobalt blades got low marks. Lenox rescue blades got very high marks. Ace hardware brand also rated high. The other brands..Bosch, milwaukee etc were all rated above Kobalt but not as high as the lenox or Ace.

I have had good luck using Milwaukee, Lenox, Freud, Ridgid and Hilti blades.

Dewalt blades didn't do too well IMO.

That Skil ugly blade looks pretty interesting, might have to get a couple of those for tree trimming.

As others have said, Lenox. When remodeling/adding onto my garage, I trashed a brand new Milwaukee demo blade in about 5 minutes. Got a 3 pack of these, and cut through 29 2x8 rafter tails, and 60 feet of 1/2' plywood with 2 layers of shingles. LOTS of nails in the rafter tails and you can guess how many nails in the double layered shingles.

I should have bought a single blade because that first one is still sharp.

Bosch, Lennox, Milwaukee, DeWalt in order of my experience and satisfaction.

For construction, Milwaukee has the best selection of oddball blades to save time in certain circumstances. Flush-cutting blades, blades to cut sill boards in door openings without gouging the subfloor or getting dulled by concrete, etc.

Thats what I use mine for. It works great but I've only tried it in live branches.

Like the Swiss Made blades. Bought some of them Demo blades by V/Black&Decker that are stamped Swiss Made. I then traded my DeWalt to my Dad for a new Millwaukee that is assembled in USA from foreign parts. For this I will take it back to Home Cheepo and pay the extra 20.00 more for next model up Made In USA. Anywho, while there they had carbide saw zaw blades on sale with red plastic blade holder so we bought 2 sets.
