Finally finished 24x36 pole shed

We started this pole shed 3yrs ago you can tell by the different aged wood we finally finished the last bay and you can see where the used tin roofing gave way and dumped me on the ground 2 broken vertebrae and pelvis so a warning to all who use reclaimed materials BE CAREFUL... I was screwing down the very last piece of roofing and suddenly i realized Red Bull does NOT give you wings when you are 50yrs old... prior to the short flight i was feeling pretty good about it saving some serious dough by recycling an old garage heck i still feel pretty good about it just should have watched step....

I hear you my wife had set up a family work day because she was tired of it not being finished!! half of people were working in garage installing walls the rest of us were working on pole shed when i started it i didnt think i would be able to build a garage so went plenty big once garage got go ahead the pole shed took second fiddle....plenty of Norco it really smarted.....I always learn hard way

Not an easy feeling reading anyone falling and breaking vertebra... Only 48, had my left knee replaced a year ago and just getting back up to speed last August, front tire on my bicycle went flat. Rock maybe? Don't know...But I lawn darted into the ditch at about 40 MPH... Broke my neck, crushed the T9 and am now fused T7-12. Broke some ribs and other damages... But I'm alive and will get back up to speed again. Hope you are healing well!!!

Sounds like we have similar "luck"!! I cannot tell you how hard it was to be unable to get out of bed while my father inlaw and friends were working on MY garage being thankful for great friends and father inlaw goes without saying but it killed me especially when they came in to ask where is your 1in drill bit etc. hard to explain its in the little box behind the big box by the door.... I bet like me you cannot wait to get back at it and into the garage...

No kidding brotherman! Tired of watching others do what I should be doing. I'm glad that I damaged the least flexible part of my back. But I still have a long road ahead. As I'm sure you do to. Its been 14 weeks since my crash.
