Hello all, I had a thread a few weeks ago looking to see what box to get and i finally found one. A Matco 4s 2-bay 22" rolling box. As of now I have a KR657 and a KR637 SO combo. The box i want is $3100 on matco's website, and after emailing matco customer service, i recently found i can get a student discount through them. after the discount it gonna cost me $1300. i wanna put some type of down payment on the box so im wondering how much i can get for my combo. All input is appreciated. Heres the box:

$100 delivered to me in MO. LOL, JK. What I'd do is ask your SO rep for a bid on buying it (not some pumped up trade in number). Then at least you'll have the low ball number to go on. Treat selling the box like selling a used car. The dealership wholesale value should be the least it's worth, retail (what the SO rep would ask for it as a used box) is the upper end, and somewhere in between is what you can shoot for as a final figure.

That's how I see it anyway.

If that was local to me I'd be at your door with $1000 ASAP.

ETA: I'm not really sure what it is worth though. I just really want a 40" SO box and have about $1000 to spend

I have sold several of these combos. I have gotten anywhere from $550 (fair) to $1,350. The one I got $1,350 for was no better than the next one I got $850 for.
