$1000 at Amazon, what would you buy?

Earlier today an Amazon rep emailed me to see if I heard about their sweepstakes. I had not, so I checked it out and posted about it on TG.

So now I'm daydreaming... what tools would I spent $1000 on?

My first thought would have been a nice Beta tool cart and tool set, but someone bought the last one a few days ago.

Now I'm thinking... Festool. Maybe a 4pc parallel clamp set. And maybe a nice router table lift and spindle. And then finally, I would spend the last $100-150 on random people here.

What would you spend a grand on?

Festool track saw. I find myself doing a lot of cuts on sheet goods with my cheap saw guide and $30 Skilsaw... the Festool would rock.!

If it were me, I'd have to go with anything to do with woodworking. I'm just starting to get into it and I absolutely love it...

I would probably get all of the new Woodpecker items...

I thought I was the only one watching that one! I did not come up in a lot of searches so it lingered for quite a while. I was waiting to see if it would get up to 75% off.

Anyway, if I had $1000 to spend, I would just sit tight and wait for clearance sales or pricing opportunities.

I spotted it during a recent several-Beta tool price drop and made note to mention it here if it didn't sell within a few days.

Added it to my cart to watch and the next day it was gone. I assume someone from here scored it.

or maybe one of these, even though it's a bit over budget.

Ditto on that. I have a track system now and it is just ok. Would love some Festool stuff. Also been wanting a nice router table with lift system.

I absolutely love their T-squares but never wanted to put up the cash..@ 130 bukubux thats mighty expensive to draw lines. I'm a firm believer in "you get what you pay for" but the price of these are extreme.

But in hind sight...if i won the cash...

Keep on eye on them at Sears.com, that's where I ordered mine from at maybe $10 savings. Normal price is $110 for the 24".

i dont buy much of anything off the web, and avoid amazon in particular.
we've had some issues with amazon in the past.

probably give it to the wife, and let her deal with it.

she'd prolly buy a new purse, with matching shoes and undies.

not a bad deal on my part

Probably would go most of the way to that new Samsung Plasma I have so far done well at convincing myself I don't need.

I'd have to add a tiny bit on top, but I'd get me a Millermatic 211 MVP...

Ain't nothing like fusing 3/8 plate together to make a wicked front bumper for something. Maybe my JD 317? :bounce:
