A nice old (1960's) Sears (Kennedy) box I picked up on CL for $40.00.

Excuse me while I wax nostalgic...
This is me and my first box setup, circa 1975
Cool shot. I balanced the color a little.

COol, wish it made me look better... of course I'm sure this was the end of the day. As I recall I said "anybody up for a pitcher"; next thing I know I'm bein' posed and a camera comes out. Remember.. "enunciate"![]()
Is it too late to join the party? Just snagged a 1979 SO KR-537A this afternoon, complete and unrestored. I'm not sure if it's worth the bother to clean it up or just use it as-is. Probably not a "you ****" deal but I am pleased with it!
Pardon the emergency clutter in the background. I had to scramble to make a little room for this thing.

Found it here: http://eugene.craigslist.org/tls/2641390913.html

A couple Craigslist finds, the first is a Huot early to mid 60's combo, the intermediate chest is actually a base unit without the casters. Belonged to a jeweler. The other is an older Sears/Craftsman box that I couldn't resist. If anyone has any information on the Huot combo, I'm all ears.
I think I'll just pull off the decals, polish it up, and call it good. Slides and liners are all in great shape, so I'm happy. The local SO rep just had a KR557 last week but thinks the buyer may trade it in next spring. Know when to say when...Seems like a good deal on a cool box, nice score
From the pics I'd leave it as is
i picked this up off cl yesterday.

Just picked up this Craftsman combo at an estate sale for $125. They are in great shape!
So anyways the 3 drawer roller box is model number 65033 with a date of 10 1974 and the top is 65272. As far as condition they are as I said super nice. One small drawer in the top has rust from what appears to be a corrosive chemical spill. The casters are the wrong ones and smaller than original. It came with all the keys and two owners manuals. The keys have the Craftsman Crown logo. All the drawers work great, no signs of overloading. The emblems are in gorgeous shape. This should be a fairly simple clean, treat the rust in the one drawer and wax it.

) more boxes like this one would probably take care of that minor issue...
