Looks like I lucked out on dallas craigslist.

I just finished up a small top box (KRA 52 {thread here}) and I've sort of been looking for a deal on CL or ebay. Saw this for $160 (seller told me it was sold, and I nearly cried), then again for $95 (due to flaky buyer) and snagged it up. I will soon sand blast it, and give it the same semi-flat black powdercoat and have a decent setup. I pick up the box from my dad this week, but I feel like the two will create a fairly short combo. What do you guys think? The top box (kra 53) is short, and my dad says this botom box is fairly short as well. I'm sure they were meant to go together, right?
Whats cool is, that both are 1963 models. I believe $95 to be a deal. I havnt seen many of these 1950-60's bottom boxes. I'm glad I found a local one. The search for a mid/intermediate/riser box starts now.

I plan to flatten out any dents, polish the casters, and possible turn the wheels until they are smooth. I'm stoked that it comes with KEYS!!

Quick question, my Dad has the same box, some spotwelds are letting loose on the front of the drawer. I know this is a long out of production box, but will SO do anything about it of should I jusr repair it myself?

media wasn't an issue at all.the wheels have a plastic sleeve in them and the casters have bearings in two of them.i degreased those two first, then blasted them.after they got painted is when i re greased them.

i alway's degrease everything before it goes in my cabinet, this way you don't contaminate the media with outside garbage.
