Is anyone using one of the Milwaukee cordless ratchets. The ones that I saw came with just one of the M12 lithium batteries. They are the smallest cordless ratchets that I have seen. They are available in 1/4 and 3/8 drive.

Ive considered buying a 1/4 inch for honda mud flaps when I need to tear down a car up front but cant justify it for one use. Plus I cant break away from my CTS561CLG

Wish snap on still made their cordless ratchets :(

I'm wavering on getting one of these as well. I picked up a couple of the CTR3812's when they went on clearance but didn't save one for myself, how stupid! I played with it at HD a few days ago, seems strong but only one battery comes with it.

These Milwaukee units are a lot smaller than the ones that Snap-on used to have. They are also a lot smaller than the current Blue Point cordless ratchets. I just ordered a 1/4 and 3/8 Milwaukee. I have had several customers that have asked for a cordless ratchet. I was hoping someone on this forum has used one already. I may end up keeping one of these Milwaukee units for personal use.

My dealer has a 3/8 milwaukee one on the truck but no one bit on it yet. Probably waiting to see how the first buyer likes his before they throw down the money.

I would buy 10 of them at $130 each. That's cheap.

What happends with these when you have a stuck fastener, can you turn it by hand to break it free? Does this impact?

It ratchets normally when not using the trigger. I dont know if it causes any damage but I have done it on occasion to break something free. Typically I use a standard ratchet to break loose then switch to this.

Does anyone have a real world torque rating for the 3/8 drive? Very interested in purchasing one of these.

I love my 3/8. Variable speed is a big plus, the light is handy, and the tool itself gets into some tight places. If you overload it or stall it by manually torquing it with the trigger pressed, it will shut down in a couple seconds to save the motor/battery, so there is no risk of damage. Let go of the trigger and re-press it to reset.

The tool is rated for 35 lb/in (I think) and I am willing to believe that is correct. Being a ratchet, if it overloads, you give the handle a tug. How much brute force the handle can take I am uncertain. The "head" of the tool is solid metal, and it extends internally up to the vent holes where the rubber grips start (about 2" hidden inside). After that, it's plastic, but rather beefy (yes, I took mine apart to have a peek).
