I built this house and garage 10 years ago and it was a dream of mine to have a decent space where I could work on my Fords indoors, spent a lot of time under my car in the rain outdoors as we didn't have a garage at home.

I built the garage to full house spec here in Ireland as I was allowing for the opportunity to convert it into a home for my father when he got older.I fully insulated it,plumbed with water/toilet and floored upstairs with an ope for a stairs.

I built a home cinema in the upstairs section shortly after construction using a s/h Sony CRT projector and full 7.1 surround with monitor audio speakers.built the 96" screen myself and the farmer who lives about 1/4 mile away could hear our movie nights...lolwas also used for superbowl nites etc...

Downstairs is 20" x30" with double electric roller doors and a h beam built for a one ton static load(never used)I built block walls into a workshop(kitchen) and toilet(toilet) which I have just torn down while building on a new sunroom to the house.

I now have a large mess but more room,I like your cabinet styles and will be copying that look.floor is an epoxy chemical proof coat and lighting now also needs an upgrade.

Cars are a 1967 mk1 ford ******, ford Sierra cosworth , ford Sierra 3dr shed trackcar project(cosworth) and an everyday Honda s2000....

Dlc ,

That's a Sierra cosworth, xr4i was also sold here with a 2.8 n/a six.the cosworth is a homoligation special developed for rallying,it had a 2.0 turbo charged 4pot running 205 horsepower but could easily be tuned to 500/600 bhp.
Have a few pics from a mag shoot

Nice Cosworth's. I used to be a HUGE ****** fan in my younger days. Had two American ****** GT's ('88 & '89 Models) and always wanted either a Cosworth($$$$) or the sheetmetal to make mine look like a Cosworth ($). Never got either, and finally parted with the cars about a decade ago. You guys were lucky and got all the cool Escorts through the years. I never understood why US Ford was so tame with their models over here. I guess to appease the mass market budget buyers!

Hey zagamuffin, could we get some more pics of your beautiful scenery? I do miss walking aout of my garage and seeing mountains like in the background of some of your pics...Here in Southwest Florida, the only mountains I see are fire ant mounds....

I owned and SVO Mustang for a years and have wanted on of these Xr4Ti branded here in the U.S. Very nice!

They've gotten a bit more pricey for nice examples in recent years. The chances to own one might not be around much longer without spending real money.

Update time
Put aside a day to tidy the floor space before starting upgrading storage, benches and lighting . Oh and sounds , am going to include net for streaming online radio etc....

This is how bad it is at present , trying to clean and prep cars is a challenge (time) bought a car load of spares yesterday so more storage issues

There's a car in there somewhere

Have a bit to do

ee0b59c9.jpg

Must start to sell a few bits and dump the rest

648b28d3.jpg

In the middle of this I'm breaking down front suspension of Sierra and hanging bellhousing on the T5 gearbox , cable to hydraulic . Fitted the cosworth bumpers to Sierra to save storing them on the floor , eng box almost ready to into car , just need a few nuts for the turbo manifold

I really like the cars. I've been thinking about picking up a '65 Cortina.
Me and a mate built a 2 door 68 Cortina GT with an Oldsmobile alloy V8 in it. The V8 engine was lighter than the original 4 cylinder...that car was a weapon. We kept it like a nicely restored original and it was the ultimate sleeper.....shame I sold it.
