We did an all inclusive deal with a group that was put on by a private travel agent. Only had to pay for souvenirs, snacks or what not. Beautiful country where you live. Funny difference between U.S. and Europe 100 mi/km is a hop skip for us and a long journey over there but a 100yrs is quite a loooong time for us while being a drop in the bucket in Europe. Will have memories for a lifetime very hospitible country!!!!! Thanks

Well ,

I gave the garage 16 hrs labour yesterday and got quite a bit done.

Got the engine and box into the Sierra which cleared a load of floor space, that freed up the wheel Dolly's so the ****** is now rolling on four Dolly's again and has been covered for the mo.

I moved a lot of rarely used parts and other project stuff upstairs so I have reclaimed the floor again.
Getting a pair of heavy duty steel lockers which I plan to put side by side on the back wall and a timber workt on top/across them.they have rollor bearing drawers and will allow me to remove the wall rack, may put them upstairs out of the way...

Pics next

almost, we didn't have a ford badge on front, they were badged ad "Merkur", the "XR4TI" (as it was called here) all got the single cam turbo 2.3 (same engine as the Mustang SVO, Thunderbird Thundercoupe, etc)

I think the cortina was the only use of the cosworth in a ford in the US, Chevy had the cosworth vega

Fast Cortinas didn't use a cosworth but rather a lotus Twincam, the xr4ti was a different shell(3 window side V 2 window)
The cosworth 3dr was unique in that it had over 100 bhp per litre (205) and was buiLt originally to satisfy world rally championship Homoligation rules... Two litre turbochargerd engine with rear shell drive . Still a great fast car which can be reliabley tuned to 400/500 bhp and some run at over 750 in Compition , a lot for a two litre engine

Nice garage and nice cars!

I had to look twice at your first pics. Looks exactly like my brother and sister in-laws neighbors house in Togher. They live around the corner from City Bounds. What part of Cork are you in? We try to get back every year for holidays but with the 2 kids it will be less often. My wife is the only one in the family who moved over to the states. Her parents live in Wilton.

Maybe i'll run into a few garage guys when we make it over again.

Nice one skib'. I was a kid in the 80's and was mad about these; there was always a story in our local news about them, as I'm sure you can imagine.

Yes, I have 7 was up to 10 for awhile but sold em. I like my two E30 M3's the most. Then comes my narrow body E30 with a US spec S52 and supercharged.
