I'm looking to get a socket set 10mm-32mm, was looking at the Facom set as it's very cheap at the moment (£75 for 10-32mm inc 2 extensions, UJ and fine tooth ratchet)
I have some 1/2" Britool sockets, 6 point. I broke a 19mm the other day on a tough wheel nut and decided I needed an upgrade.
I found the Facom deal but they look very similar to the Britool sockets, I know that Facom are basically a fancier brittol these days but the 6 point facom sockets appear to be a chrome shiney finish of the britool sockets. From what I can find facom, britool, draper and sk are one manufacturer?
Does anyone know if they are just a finish upgrade, or are the facom sockets actually stronger than britool?
Obviously I don't want a sideways step 'upgrade' so if they're a false economy I'll just go snap on route. Only trouble with snap on is the set sizes they do, they always seem to be 10-19mm or 10-24mm then the larger sizes are crazy money.
