Kind of embarrassed of my metric drawer, hoping to add some ratcheting box ends soon.

I figured I might as well get the huge one because I'll be able to fill it eventually anyway. As you can tell there is plenty of room and several of the drawers could be combined with a little more creative organization. Love the box though, just as good if not better than my 5 year old craftsman box.

Nice box! I'm sure it'll serve you well for many weeks.

Dude, you better get that strut spring compressor away from your bran-damn new toolbox. People will be bangin' **** up against it and launching springs into it. Just sayin'!

i gotta admit we're spoiled, a/c, inground lifts, awesome cafeteria, tile flooring and a cleaning crew. u have to work without those luxuries to truly appreciate them

You should tell that to the guys at the BMW dealer I used to work at. All they would do is cry about their working conditions. From the pics you posted it looks like pretty much the same setup except my dealer supplied them with tool boxes.

ANYWAY.. couple questions for you... where'd you get the light for your hutch? I see Snap on has one but they want over $100. I don't know if I wanna spend that kinda money on one without some opinions or a cheaper alternative.

Where'd you get the hooks to hang stuff from your hutch? I see you have a small gun hanging from your hutch and I think I could use a hook like that for something else...

yeah, I'm pretty happy where I'm at. the light is actually a an under hood light that i keep there. i haven't taken it out since i got the hutch. i wanna buy a fluorescent tube and hang it on top so i can still have light when i need the under hood light on the car. the hook holding the small gun is just something someone left behind when they left. i think its for a snap on drop light.

Well, I ran out of space in my orginal 41" box and I got menards to honor the online price while I was in-store which made me eligible for the 11% off anything coupon. So after the rebates, I scored each one of them for $470 before tax. At that price I thought I needed three of them. :bounce: My brother wants one so I will probably end up with two. I posted the deal in the Hot Deals section but the two discounts only overlaped for one day.

For that kind of money I can certainly understand. Seeing the box in the background I just couldn't help but wonder what you would do with 3 of those. Thought maybe you just bought an entire Snap On truck.

Hahaha I just need you to back the truck in here and load up these boxes. Wouldn't that be cool?

The way I saw it I couldn't go wrong for that kind of savings on new boxs. I also have seen a few pic on here of people making workbenches to put on top of the tool boxes so I might go that route.

I bet he has his balls there to keep the socket trays from sliding around when he opens and closes the drawer:bounce:

Or he uses it to open door locks. I keep a tennis ball in my tool box, I use it to open door locks, if a customer drops off a car for me to work on and they usually leave the keys under the seat but sometimes they lock the door. That is when the tennis ball comes handy.

Show us how! You didn't think you were going to make a remark like that and get away without showing us, did you? :)

I have never seen that way of keeping your extensions straight. I really like that! I will have to see if I can configure my drawer to allow something like that.

I've been doing that for a long time. Great way to organize your extensions when you don't buy them in sets with plastic molded trays (Snap-On).

Hope I don't ruin the magic. This was on one of the few myth busters episodes that I watched:

How do you organize your extensions? Not sure how else you would do it.... Do you mean using a socket rail?
