Just got a clip of the ad. If the ad is correct, it looks like all GearWrench sets are on sale. Maybe time to get that stubby set!

Where did you get the paper add by chance? Just in case I have to haggle with the monkeys.

Sweet, I have been wanting stubby wrenches. Haven't figured out where to put them in my crowded box, but I will. Thanks for the lead.

No worries with something as small as a set of wrenches, the important part is collecting the goodies, you have the rest of your life to figure out where your going to stash them! :lol_hitti

I'm going to have to stop reading these threads. It gets a little expensive after a while buying the bargains. Good thing the wife never knows about them.

Do you guys think they will let me use the craftsman calendar $5 off coupon?
It's supposed to be for craftsman purchases only.. though.

Hell yeah! I still have some stuff sitting in boxes on my workbench. I'll eventually find a place to put the stuff...

Looks like I may revive Sears economy a little today. Gearwrench 4 in 1 box end SAE $15 (I have the metric pair), 7 pc flex heads for $45.

IMO spend the extra $15 to get the flex instead of the $30 straight set..
One thing is you get the flex which is more versatile, a little bulkier though.

But the straight metric has only 18MM which is useless for Japanese cars (if you care), the flex has 19mm instead of 18mm.

Went into the store in White Marsh, MD, around noon. Very few of the sale items marked there, and the fellow working there wasn't really up on it.

Picked up the "Quad-Box" sets in SAE and metric. Nice to throw just 2 wrenches in the glove box of my '71 Scout and '93 BMW have some options.

Debated and eventually passed on the half-moon sets, money's a little tight. Wish I'd gotten them, they're out of stock at my home stores in NY. Couldn't really think of a time I'd wished I had them, recently, but for sure now I'll need them next week.

Did pick up the 4-piece large metric set, 44041 for $29.99 (21mm, 22, 24, 25). They were out of the 44040 SAE set, but I can get that one at home.

Looked like all the non-XL sets were on sale around half-off, and the XLs are 10%. The miscellaneous drivers and things were hardly on sale.

Happy hunting!

Was at Sears this morning and got both the SAE and Metric 8-piece stubby gearwrench sets for $29.95 each. Also found a 24" digital level on sale for $20 off.

Looks like the stubbies are on sale also:

I didn't see the flex stubbies (which are the ones I want to pick up) with sale pricing online. I'll check out in store prices on my lunch break.

Just got back from Sears and they did not have any flex stubbies, the guy told me they do not stock them. Picked up a set of metric stubbies for $27 with the April $5 coupon. Only complaint I have is I wish the largest size was a 19mm instead of a pretty much useless 18mm.

Here's what I scored at my local Sears:

44031: Dual box end metric set- $29.99
44281: XL x-beam metric set- $39.99
44033: Stubby SAE set- $29.99

They didn't have it in stock at my Sears, but I called a friend, and he was able to pick up a set of Metric half moon wrenches for me, model # 44008 ($64.99).

My metric collection is coming along quite well. :)

I didn't see it on the site either, but I saw a set on the wall, and checked the price at the register. Sure enough, it was half price!

It comes with 8, 10, 12, 13, 14, 17, and 19.

Welp, I've added the SAE and Metric non-reversible non-offset GearWrenches to my collection. $59.98, minus $5.00 for the $5.00 off $25.00 or more Craftsman Club coupon (which supposedly was supposed to be off Craftsman tools only, pretty damned sweet!).

Not a bad deal.

Now I've got the Regular, the Reversibile Offsets, the Stubbies and the FlexHead GearWrenches, in SAE and Metric.

TONS of wrenches in my toolbox. Now I just need to use them more!

WHOOPS, the model # is actually 44281, sorry about that. Doesn't appear as if that model # is on the site either. Guess you have to take a trip down there to see if it's physically in stock.

Christmas in April for me!! :bounce:Just got back from Sears and picked up metric/SAE stubbys, flex heads, and the large metric. All for under $200. They were out of the large SAE but gave me a raincheck. I didn't quite need it all (already have the regular ones) but I just couldn't resist the 1/2 off prices. I didn't realize the X Beams were included or I might have picked them up too. Not sure I really need those though. Here's the loot:
