Saturday CL Finds

Went and picked up a 1964 Snap On KR58B for $30. This will match the 1965 KR58B that I'm almost done restoring. All drawers glide with ease and there is even a few pennies, fuses and a pair of wire strippers in there!

I thinking of getting the HF 56 inch tool box and putting the KR58B's on top, one for each side. Would probably be a really nice setup. Metric in one box and SAE in the other. The use the big HF for everything else.

Also picked up a 14 piece MAC combination metric wrench set. 6mm-19mm for $100, brand new in the package. This is the first set of truck brand wrenches for me as CM RP were the best I had to this point. How did I do for price on these?

Great box and a great deal. As long as you're on a roll, maybe you could find some vintage SO roller cabs to go under them.

Do you know which vintage cabinets I should be looking for? I haven't seen many of them online. Would be nice to have matching sets.

You did great on the box and if the words China or Taiwan don't appear on the packaging of the MAC wrenches you did good, if China or Taiwan does appear on the packaging you got yourself a set of throwing wrenches.

I have not opened them but no where on the packaging do I see the COO. I've been researching online and can't find anything as well.

Thanks for the heads up MoToys. So here is the question. They are still in the packaging and I've seen them sell for $160-185 on ebay. Do I keep them or sell them. I'd like to have USA tools as much as possible but also love my gear wrench stuff and that's Taiwan.

I'm only using these in the garage but really take to heart what the guys and gals on here think. It's better than Pittsburgh Pro right?? lol

Also nothing against HF alot of their stuff is great for the money and I'm there alot more than I will admit. Lot of tool on the cheap.

Thanks for the heads up MoToys. So here is the question. They are still in the packaging and I've seen them sell for $160-185 on ebay. Do I keep them or sell them. I'd like to have USA tools as much as possible but also love my gear wrench stuff and that's Taiwan.

Thanks. It was a make an offer deal and I was worried $30 would offend him but he just wanted it gone. I will refinish it and it will have a good home for life now. Not looking to flip a gem like that.

That's probably an impossibility, but you can most certainly have all USA made wrenches including ratcheting wrenches.

I will be using your threads on toolbox restore for inspiration once again on this one. Might have to wait until spring as I"m working on finishing my basement. This is going to look good next to it's brother that's one year older and almost completely repainted and cleaned up.

Will have a good thread with the restore of both of these hopefully by summer. Thanks for all your inspiration!
