Hello,
i am paul from germany and when i came across the garagejournal and saw the great pictures of the insides of your garages i knew that it was time to do something with my garage. Its quiet big but completely full with stuff so that i even cant park my car in it.
And the more pictures i see here the more i know that my garage is an absolute no go. I absolutely have to do something against that mess and i thought of a machineshop area in the right, hydraulic car lift in the middle and some kind of chill out area in the left part of the garage.
For the chill out area i already have a sofa, fridge, microwave, table and TV but it seems to me that this is not enough to relax after some work done on the car or in the shop area.
So please show us pictures of your chillout area in your garage to get me some ideas for mine. Does not matter if its only an old chair and a table with a bottle of beer or a high end one with bar and so on.
I really need your help, please post a lot of pictures
regards paul

What breed of dog is the one sleeping in the white chair? I ask because it looks like my 5 month old named Anni ( short for Tikaani. It’s from*@#$Ahtna, one of the Native American languages of Alaska which translates to "wolf") we named her that because we were told she was huskey and wolf mix. (though you see very little of both. You see more rott than huskey) Also we called her "Anni" because she was born on Aug 28, 2011 which is my wife and my anniversary. So its short for "Anni"-versary. you dog looks very much like Anni. So I thought id ask to see what breed my puppy may be. (old pic, she was about 3 months there.) Here is my puppy, Anni:

My old setup for my chill-out space in the garage. I've added a LazyBoy recliner since (free!). The stereo and speakers on the metal shelving above the black wall cabinet have been upgraded since this pic was taken, but are in the same spot.

I just framed in a small office in the corner. Right now it's the only part with heat. It's got internet, TV, stereo and a dog bed for my friend. It's not done yet but it works.

We spend most of our evenings out here. Two TVs so one of us can play X Box while the other watches telly!

Hey HoT Rod Grille...........Have you ever thought of opening a Soda Shoppe somewhere in your town where all the kids and adults could go and hang out and you could rake in some income? I would imagine it would go over pretty well, especially with all those cute chickee poos hanging around to draw in customers. :bounce:

Do you have any issues with the electronics in the garage? I've been wanting to bring my desk and computers out to the garage, but There is no climate control, and I worry about the humidity.

It's heated with a gas/radiant system. Couldn't recommend it higher.
