Well I realize an introduction is in order. I am an American Motorcycle Institute trained Harley mechanic and an American Welding Society Certified welding educator currently teaching at Franklin-Simpson high school. I am obsessed with motorcycle and traveling. I am a part owner of Gearhead Customs www.ghconline.net
These are my last two personal bike builds,

Four years ago my wife and I moved in to her dream house and I lost my old single car garage. I have been storing and building my bikes at the shop and my best friends garage ever sense. My garage has been in process for about three and a half years now and I have built two bikes for myself and several for customers. Now it is time to get back to my garage project. My garage will be for storing my 17 Studebaker (when we get finished building it) and a nice workshop for building and repairing my own bikes.
My garage so far
It is 14' wide and 24' long by 11.5' high(inside) it was the biggest building I could fit on our 2.6 acre lot because of the setbacks, easements and the fact that my wife wouldn't let me put it in "her" front yard. The carpentry students at my school built the trusses out of 2x6s and we covered it in double bubble insulation and green metal (seconds).
My next project before starting on the concrete is rebuilding this lift and making a frame so it will be flush mounted in the floor.
