I have seen several different versions of homemade air tool holders on the forum here. I saw this one on Amazon for a decent price. Anyone here have this model and does it work well?

I have that one, but it has a Matco label on it. It works good, I just wish it was longer so I could put a couple more tools on it.

I don't care for locking either, I have this one on my old basic Snap On cart that I just got rid of.

It's made for service carts & I was looking to get a new one (which reminds me on my search) but the company who makes it no longer makes it. Good thing I kept it when I got rid of the cart. Better than nothing though, going to install it on my HF 5 drawer cart.

Anyone know of something similar?

I have the lisle one attached to my cart at work. I don't use the locking feature. Works well. I have my 1/2 impact, air chuck, 1/4 air ratchet, die grinder and air saw on it.

I have three Lisle air tool holders. They are OK, but I will be building my own in the future. They tend to wear out and drop tools over time. Also, this may not be a problem if they were stationary and mounted to a wall or bench, but mine are mounted in a drawer in my rollcab so they see a lot of movement back and forth. A few pics of them mounted along with my air hammer bit rack I made:

LOL at the Mothers Powerball. "Another excuse to use a power tool." Chip Foose is a ****.

Seriously, Chip Foose is an ***. Fame just makes him worse. I've had that Powerball long before Chip started doing those Mothers commercials. Probably the last time I used it too. I just can't throw away any tool that hasn't became totally useless.

I have this one also, its great.

No pic but on the back of my cart i mounted 1" scrap tube across the back and welded on old cheap 1/4 3/8 and 1/2 inch sockets. Push extensions and impacts in square drive end, up and out of the way.

It looks like it would be easy to make.

Here's another option:

^^I like this design better than the Lisle locking version. Please let us know if you find a source.

Will do.

I wouldn't be able to. I don't have a mill yet & no access to one anymore. Hopefully I get one this year.

That one looks great but I want something like the one I have to mount on my tool cart. I like it cause it has holes for extensions & ratches too. Looking like I'll just end up trying to clean that one up & reuse it.

I just took a Chunk of 1/2" thick aluminum and drilled/threaded some holes, screwed in some fittings and mounted it under my cabinets.

And on my compressor, cut, welded a piece of angle iron and did the same.
Keeps my Air Tools where I use/need them the most.
