Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

I'd call from someone elses phone, use a fake name and go pick it up. If it's stolen return it to it's owner and at least it didn't cost you anything.

It's a trap.

or a way tov harvest phone numbers and email addresses.... eveytime i reply toi a 'too good to be true ad" lately im bombarded by spam and
autodialed telemarketers

That could be a mess...

LOL seems like drama too mee i would hate to get caught up in it

no ****, that guys gonna be steaming mad once he finds out and i guarentee he will find who has it somehow.

im guessing its a scam... no way someone didnt tell her how much its worth is she doesnt know herself.. hell had she said $1000 dollars she'd a gotten more responses then 'free' im sure because 'free' for a box like that is too good to be true

My gut reaction says this is a fake ad. But with that being said, I've seen people make some rash decisions when PO'd or whatever.

chances are if the guy did in fact leave it there he's not gonna pay the balance anyways and neither is the gf.

*this ofcourse is if the assumed balance exists on a box thats probobly not even available

Why would the guy leave the box but take all the tools? (ad says no tools)

If it is real It would be hilarious if the Snapon guy who sold it showed up to repo it.

Free box, just take over the payments. The loan balance is probably >>> market value.

Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Karma.............

Even if that was on my street I wouldn't touch it.

Had a friend whom got a tool box in a similar way. He knew a shop owner who fired an employee, and that employee left all of their stuff behind. Months went by, and the dealer was trying to collect on the debt. Shop owner tells my friend to come and swoop it up in the middle of the night, planning on telling the tool truck dealer that the box was left outside for pickup by former employee, and box was gone in the morning.

I always print out the CL add before going to get something, just in case there's a price dispute... etc.

Quite often the add is down before I get back home, the printed add is the closest you'll ever get to a receipt.

I've been to some good " my boyfriend left me" yard sales, they are the best. I'd go with some armed swat team members though!

My Matco man told me a story of something similar, but he ended up getting the toolbox back and didn't get burned too badly in the deal.

Sadly, I helped my old Snap-On man repo a bunch of stuff when I was at my old shop and one of the tenants shut down his shop and stiffed a bunch of folks. The landlord had given me keys to all the units as I was there almost 24/7 (It sure seemed like it). It was no fun entering another man's shop under those circumstances.

I'd known the Snap-On man almost 30 years, he bought the franchise from my dad-yeah, I trust him that much.

I think you may be confused. i have a KR1000, its red. and not as nearly as large as that box. I took screen shots off of my macbook pro and uploaded them on my photo bucket because I KNEW IT WOULD GET DELETED. what would be the fun in showing a link to everyone that would come up as flagged? Time wasted to check out my photobucket.

I dont see what the difficulty is here, I Took a screen shot of the craigslist ad, which saves a picture to my desktop. I then uploaded the picture to my photobucket and uploaded them here on my thread because i figured it would get deleted/flagged from craigslist. and to save people time from clicking the link.

those are pictures of the listing. i didnt save each individual picture in the listing, i took a shot of all of them. or the listing

Since i posted the thread the craigslist ad has been deleted/flagged like i thought it would have been.
