Probably got hung up at another shop or something happened with his family? Or Truck? life happens it's not the end of the world (or is it?) Give him the benefit of the doubt and give him a call next week.....unless he's always pulling **** like that. In that case, I'd talk to him first and if that doesn't work, then give corporate a call.

Spoken like a true :canadian:. Don't you know the American way is to shoot first and ask questions later. Sheesh! Get with the program! :bitchslap

And what is this mystical "benefit of the doubt" of which you speak?

Yes, an old cliche, but **** really does happen. Always find out why something you were
expecting to happen didn't happen, and only then if you find the reason it didn't happen
unacceptable, then make a fuss. Many a person has been made to look a complete
twonk by freaking out before possesion of all the facts.

The likelyhood is that your Snap-On dealer *****, but know the ground before you stand on it.

For the benefit of all you Canadians...

So I'm unwittingly tricked into going to a bar with my wife and my mother in law during the Olympic hockey game between America and Canada (i hate hockey) and naturally America loses. So my Canadian wife and mother in law stand up and cheer. There's me trying to crawl under the table as the entire place is now beaming at me..."what are you going to do about this? Pal." Sigh.

Go on-line a buy them cheaper

The prices on my guy's truck are the same as Snap-On's site, plus he has promos that are not on the site, and he will give 10% off on most of my purchases because of my payment history. His customer service is terrific as well.

For a guy like you, I tend to be out of stock on a lot of things.

unrelated, but any chance you have an RTSM14 on your truck? Snap-On has been OOS for awhile and I no longer have a local driver.. my ADD is getting to me seeing that open slot in my Hansen tray..

if so, pm me  I have some other things I need too.... thanks!

Oh Chadster, while I see your point, there will be other forum members that will be firing up the ol' :flamethro . When I used to work at a local auto parts store where we dealt KD tools I hated when someone would walk in with a box of tools they just bought at the flea market wanting to warranty them because they were rusty, pitted, or looked used. I personally wouldn't warranty because there wasn't anything wrong with them and plus our warehouse would most likely send stuff like that back and the store would have to eat it, they sucked trying to get something warrantied. To the people that actually broke a KD tool that they bought at the flea market, maybe a time or 2 would I warranty it quickly and easily, then I would be 'out of stock' or 'the warehouse has to approve it first' kind of deal. As for the OP my Snap On dealer has been running late for the past few weeks as he has picked up a few more accounts lately. I have even had to wait over after hours a few times, I don't really mind though the guy has to make a living. But also in your defense if he is going to be horribly late or not going to make it, he normally will at least call me!!

That's a bit ****. I mean he has a business to run too.

Ah, it's a bit of an exaggeration. I just checked and I spent about $4000 with my dealer last year. Dealers that don't want to warranty tools they didn't sell are the reason that snapon (and others) leave such a bad taste in some people's mouths. The warranty is what we are paying the rediculously high markup on, and that is part of the job.

It is not my job to make sure your franchise makes money, it is your job to make sure I can keep working.

Under a car...swearing
First off...don't blame Snap on for one bad dealer. Second...things happen. Believe it or not, that is his job...maybe he took a vacation...or got sick...or the truck broke down. Who cares...wait a week or call him up and meet him on the road. When i need something now and its not my tool day (happens all the time as im a shop owner) i call my guy, get in my car and go to him. I have no problem with that as his other customers are just as important as i.

My driver was great, if he couldnt fix it on the truck and had to send it out he gave you a loaner on the spot even if he had to open a brand new one to do it. when the dual 80s came out he loaned about 50 of them to techs to test and see if they wanted them, only 4-5 said no thanks

Never had a bad Snap On guy. Some were better than others. All could speak intelligently about their tools & could give you a straight answer when you asked about the status of an ordered tool, instead of the line one Matco guy used to CONSTANTLY give me: "Well, I THINK it's coming in next week." (!)

Buy something on truck credit....he'll show up every time if you owe him money

My Snap On guy has my debit card and just hits it every week. I told him to do that so he can get paid every week. I work on the road and miss the truck every now and then. I leave a list of things I need and their there when I get back to the shop. He gets paid and I get my tools. Works good for us. I hate not getting paid that's why I have him bill my card.

Update on this I was told at work the next week after I left, snap on man showed up 10-20 minutes after I left. My dealer at current shop is the best Snap On dealer I ever have had... always end-up buying something... looking back, the best thing is to wait

That's funny, sometimes I have a thread that I got resolved like a month after the last post, and I just don't think it matters enough to update with the eventual solution. But hey, maybe someone was up nights wondering about this.

I know I'll sleep better tonight. As I lay down for the night, my mind often wanders....did I close the garage door? is my phone on the charger? is my alarm clock set? did that guys snap on driver ever show up after he said he would be there????
