I really like how all the drawers are full width... and mostly low profile drawers except the last bottom one....

Do they state where it is made? I have not seen any stainless steal box not made in China.

I own one of these. I have had it for about five years now,and have been very happy with it. The only difference is mine has three drawers on the top row.

so, are the Canadians any good with stainless steel craftsmanship? Considering all they do is watch hockey, drink beer, live in igloos, use dog sleds for transportation, and have an uncontrollable urge to end every sentence with "eh?".

Canadian women are some of the hottest in the world. Seriously. Plus hockey is a true mans' sport, I'm not sure why it hasn't caught on in the US. Lots of fighting and physical contact. And the uniforms aren't gay and tight.

Agreed

They had those boxes at the Costco where I used to live a while back, really wanted one, but didn't have the money at the time. Seemed better quality than any of the recent Craftsman boxes.

well, since no one is saying much about tool boxes, we might as well talk about hot Canadian women! and oh, yes, I totally agree.... I lived in Toronto and Vancouver for many years....

Sears sells a stainless steel griplatch similar to that one but honestly I like the griplatch over the rubber detents. The SS Craftsman was roughly $1200 IIRC, too much for a Craftsman box IMO but still a decent box. I've always had a soft spot for SS tool boxes. I own a 56" value series International and they are great for home DIY guys. My wife is Canadian and she gave me the "OK" to buy once she found out it was made in Canada .

Looks just like the Husky at home depot, looks nice, but I don't like the fact that the slides are just pop riveted to the drawer sides.

The Sears griplatch SS box is low grade SS that is well polished and then clear coated. I don't know anything about the box I posted above, but I much prefer that a stainless steel box not depend on clear coat to prevent corrosion. The hammerhead box I got from Costco years ago uses high grade stainless and is very thick... i only wish i could get another one at a reasonable price. hence, i started looking around and saw this ...

Yes it is made in china, I got it at SAMs club for about 650.00-700.00.

Sears is the only one that sells International boxes down here in the States. And you were right the do carry it. To much money for what it is though.

I have the same box, Made by CSPS they are a Taiwanese company with plants in Taiwan and Vietnam. Mine was made in Taiwan.

I can imagine his is. I have messed around with those boxes at Home Depot a lot....don't even compare to International, which really sad to say!

yeah, that's what i thought... in the US, Costco sold Hammerhead, CSPS, and these days Trinity.

so bottom line is, no one here has really seen these International SPG stainless boxes then?

Just a bump to see if anyone has got their "hands on" this (no Costco in my town)(SPG International 42" stainless steel tool chest) ? Im interested too , contacted SPG to try to find out drawer sizes/heights , they said its made in china and have no more info,Costco does incorrectly label it as made in Canada . One thing that bothers me from the picture of the drawer closeup, is that it looks like the drawer fronts hang down below the drawer bottom , effectively wasting height on the drawer below, which wouldnt normally matter much on a deeper drawer , but I really need 2.5" for some stuff ,so if anyone knows the heights, please tell.
