We've already installed a very cool floor from Swistrax.com which we designed on their website, just hung the REZNOR heater and have completed the design and layout for incredible diamond plate cabinetry and storage accessories manufactured in the USA by everyone's favorite - GaragePals.com -- We plan on taking delivery of the GaragePals.com products early next week - check our website www.UltimateGarageProject.com for a plethora of upcoming photos, videos and product reviews.

I'm in the process of putting together ideas for finishing the garage ceiling. It is dry walled already, but cracke and not to nice... some ideas I came up with are: Corrugated metal roofing (or the plastic variety); drop ceiling (black tiles look nice); the nail up / screw up tiles; and even the vinyl siding you see on the underside of some porches, etc.
I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas?

Just nearly completed the installation of the Swisstrax Ribtrax flooring...really cool product -- drains away the Michigan water and snow perfectly. Love it!

Wow!! The diamond plate cabinets sounds to be interesting on this kind of flooring. I think that it would make it to be a very beautiful addition on the whole. Looking forward for more pics after the cabinets would be installed.

Near completion on installing the Reznor. She puts out the BTU's... I love it. We ended up running flex gas line up from the basement into the garage attic and then connected to black pipe down through the ceiling to the heater. Still trying to figure out some of the venting. Getting a little leakage into the garage..not enough vacuum on the short stack. We are going to extend the chimney another 5-feet on the roof to see if that helps.

We have been tossing around a few ideas on how to finish the vertical portion of the concrete ledge that borders two sides of the garage. We thought about runnings some of the Swistrax flooring vertical, using tile, sticking some diamond plate on it, etc. But first, we figured that we would must paint it with some of the same oil-base paint we used on the doors... it finished it off very well.

Ha! And my friend said there were'nt any cougars in Michigan. He doesn't know anything about wildlife. :thumbup:

We just put up the last ceiling tile and what an incredible difference it has made. We ended up painting several of the tiles -- blue, black and gray and popped them up in random spaces which really tied in well with the garage floor colors. We plan on posting a lot more photos and video as soon as we clean up the mess we made!

We just completed a quick and very worthwhile update to our ugly white garage fridge. We two-way taped some custom aluminum diamond plate around the sides and doors to create a great new look that matched the rest of the garage.

Looks great either way though. Do you have a finished shot of the ceiling?

That's a sweet workstation :thumbup:

Have you ever thought of anodizing something like that? I think a red anodize would look good on it. The shine would still show through unlike a powdercoating.

One of the things we did this past weekend was to paint and install the shelving solution for this cubby-hole. When we had GaragePals.com visit us, we asked for their input on what to do with this space. They took some measurements and came up with a very simple and inexpensive shelving solution which installed in 15 minutes... simple, functional, and affordable!

I am pretty sure this is more of an advertisment thread for Garagepals.com and their products. I visited the factory a couple times in the past month and some of the guys there were joking about this very thread.

Personally I think the bling bling diamond plate is ugly but to each there own.

If garage pals is paying you for your posts, then yes, it's probably affordable.

But I've looked at their prices. They're outlandish.

Sorry you guys are burnt out on diamond plate...geez...

I’m just finishing up with all the main storage components of the garage and Garage Pals is who we selected. Our project garage contains a variety of products from companies such as Reznor, Ceilume, Kwikset and SwissTrax Floors along with home automation products that we will be reviewing from HomeSeer, SmartHome and DeskShare. Audio products will include those from Kicker, MiCommand and probably Bose and then we’ll start getting into tools and the attached shop equipment.

So hang in there...And if you know how I can get paid for posts... do tell...
