So I am brand new here and this is my first post. This is my shed and the tools I am currently using. I had my entire Snap on classic 78 stolen along with it's contents. At that point I had pretty much nothing. I scored a hand me down craftsman box and got my self a cheapo mechanics tool kit and I have been building from there as each job needs. I don't have a garage anymore, but I am getting by with my spider infested shed.

I am pumped on the brand new Lista box I scored earlier today!!!!!!

One nice thing about Lista cabinets - they are almost too heavy to steal. I have to take the drawers out to move mine.

I had all my mechanics tools stolen twice. No fun.

You got that right. I had a heck of a time getting this in today. There was 3 of us and it was a hell of a fight EMPTY. I like that though, shows great quality. This is my first lista box and I already like it as much as my old snap on box. It's a bummer to see how few tools I have in a big box haha. That craftsman was over flowing! Hopefully I can find a friend to give the craftsman to.

Way to go- I've been wiped out twice, insurance helped rebuild my tool collection, but it's no fun. And that Lista box looks really fine!

Man I wish I had insurance! How did you go about insurance? Was it home owners?

FYI- Home owners insurance covers tool (used for personal use) as part of the personal property. If used for business there are specific limits of coverage. If you rent a home or apartment tools are also covered under personal property (personal use). Be sure your policy is replacement cost not actual cash value (if you rent). Be careful with claims - Police report needed if theft. Have a good inventory and DONT file small claims - the loss will follow you for up to 5 years and effect future policy rates

Nice pick up on the lista box. Is that a stampede there on your bench next to the heater?

Prime...Welcome to the GJ. I'm sure you find a home here. Sorry to hear you got ripped off. Your Homeowners insurance should cover something like that as long as you have a Police report on it.

BTW...Nice use of the Lista. No ones going to pick that up and walk off with it. Those things weigh a ton empty, let alone full.

Sorry to hear about the tool theft....

I'd bet KTM. The banner (rekluse) in the back ground and the EE bearing kits on the wall likely spell KTM. The kickstarter looks like mine (KTM). Also, looks like a bit of 08 to 11 rear fender hiding out in there.

Do you have an Enduro sickness as well? Nice little shed....

Yep them are KTM 200 bottom ends. I am rebuilding my race bike for the season so parts are everywhere. Yes thats a traxxas stampede with a brushless system. Thats about to get a complete integy evolution kit installed on it.

Sad news, busted a part of my drawer tonight. Completely my fault, but I gotta say, any other box would have had a busted drawer, and not a busted part of a drawer. I'll live and the scar will always remind me of how much of a ***** I am.

It was homeowner's, no problems with the claim or the payout. And the 2nd was a repeat of the first- pickup truck to the barn (out of sight of the house), loaded up the boxes and gone. What a sick feeling to walk in and see that. Thirty years ago and I remember it like yesterday.

A couple people seemed interested in the KTM... This is for you guys

So I have been cranking away cleaning and getting parts ready. I have been using my parts washer, degreaser, wire brush, sand paper, polishing compound, and a slew of rags to get things clean. I took apart my forks and serviced them while changing out the springs for my weight. I also changed the rear spring to something that MIGHT be overkill, but might work out perfect. My crank is out being trued, and cylinder it at PowerSeal USA.

While putting never seaze on every bolt and getting parts on I got too excited and decided I want to see what it's going to look like. I took a trip into the house and grabbed my plastics and did a mock up... Here is what I got

and here is my shed in full effect. Daily it goes from clean, to trashed, back to clean. I'm putting in a lot of man hours in there lately. The brown boxes on the bottom left are my new black outer rims. I'll start lacing them up tomorrow.

Hopefully tomorrow I can press in new front wheel bearings, lace my front wheel, put on my m59 tire, and get the wiring done and clean.

I should also add the fact I grabbed a few wrench organizers, a cheapo torque wrench I am not worried about taking to the races, C clamps, wire brushes, and 2 sets of T handle allen wrenches from HF earlier today. Pics of them coming soon!!!!
