Hey All,

Newbie here from Indy, i keep getting pointed here by google when i'm researching boxes, storage, tools, etc... so figured i may as well join and maybe get some ideas on how to clean up/better use my utter pig stye of a garage. :lol_hitti

And then once i get ahold of a better space to work in, i will probably start my tool collection all over again with some better stuff. (Maybe... TopTul?)

What i have works just fine so far (Crapsman, Kobalt, buncha Pittsburgh Pro cheapy stuff) but i'm a little OCD and like everything to match. (Also why my garage drives me nuts)

Prepare to be horrified:

Oops, probably should just link this pic, it's big: http://www.munkymofo.com/images/misc/DSC_0044.gif

When the build is finished, i'll be making a real effort to clean it up, organize, and generally make it a better place to work. It's a big 2-car garage, i share it with a buddy, and it has a loft. (The stairs ****, take up a lot of space) Currently the biggest issue is the 4 motors, 3 transmissions, a motorcycle, and a big hydraulic tire changer taking up all the space on the back wall. It's a deep garage and with that space reclaimed, i'd like to put in a nice workbench.

I wouldn't mind lending a hand but it doesn't look like there is room in your garage to actually work.....

mine is slowly getting cleaner

That's a somewhat old picture. I'm not going to say it's "spacious" but there's room. I'm trying to get the suspension all on it on Saturday, finally finished working out how it'll all work and i think the dealership got the rest of my hardware in. (Holy **** Mazda bolts are expensive)

Unfortunately my rack isn't done yet, so it'll be interesting rolling it out of the garage. Then i'll get some more cleaning done.

STILL haven't gotten those other motors out of there. :(

I'm still slightly jealous of your garage. :p

you ordered bolts form a dealer? why not junkyard it? better yet, datsun bolts ;)

Yeah, figured after 300k miles, new hardware would probably be a good idea, and i didn't have the patience to try to match it all up in bulk Grade 8 stuff. :lol_hitti

But of course, they DID mess up the order, as i found last weekend. BECAUSE MAZDA.

I've parted so many Datsuns over the years, everything ends up with Datsun bolts in it

Well, it looks like i'm going to have a bunch of extra brand new OEM Mazda fasteners/hardware since half of this stuff didn't work with the suspension anyways. Ace Grade 8 hardware saved the day!

And then of course, someone finished the development on delrin crossmember bushings, so all the new OEM **** i bought for that is all useless as well.

Comedy of errors!!!!
