I've decided to take the plunge and start building a quality set of Snappy ratchets to go along with my SK SuperKrome obsession. In the process of planning this out, I thought that maybe it would be a good idea to color coordinate the hard handled ones. Maybe something like this:

Yellow for 1/4" drive
Orange for 3/8" drive
Red for 1/2" drive

Has anyone else done anything like this?

No no no...you need one of each drive size in each color!:lol_hitti

I just went with all orange for me and a yellow set for my wee fella. My wallet couldn't handle branching out into other colors lol.

If you can't tell the difference bewtenn 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" drive just by looking at them, then you have a larger problem that no color based oragnization can solve... LOLOLOLOL.

Hell, I can tell the difference between an M5, M6, M8, M10 and M12 bolt just by looking at it.

:)

You just bought blue screw drivers and picks????

Well, if it's blue , then it must be a screwdriver or pick using that system, because without the color, there is no way in hell to tell the diffrence between a pick, a screwdriver and , say, a 1/4" drive hard handle ratchet.

Oh the madnesss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It all started after I bought those red hard handled Craftsman pry bars that Sears had on sale.

I would chose black over red for the 1/2" rat-****. Red & Orange can look similar in low light... Like in your garage, at about 11:47 PM, under your Buddies truck, with at 60W trouble light trying to do its best to light the whole area...
Just my Opinion.
