Got my order in from Tool Topia today. Great service and free shipping on orders over $99. I bought a Precision Instruments 40-250 ft. lbs and a KD 0-600 in. lbs. torque wrench. Both made in the U.S.A. I've been wanting the PI for a long time based on reviews here. I had used an old Snap-On one just like it at work. Now I can ditch my cheap Great Neck. Here's a couple pics:

I already used the PI the moment I got it off the truck. Was in the middle of doing some work on my Explorer and went ahead and rotated the tires. So nice now to be able to torque to spec.

Lol...subtle threats of bodily harm :lol_hitti oh I dunno....he was considering parting with a set at some point I think so I MAY have STRONGLY indicated that I was interested.

Man, lets see the inside of the box that stores the goods and how about some pics of the stuff you use this tools on???

I've been eyeing up that PI flex head, DAMN nice looking wrench there, may need to pull the trigger!

Is that new KD wrench or NOS? I did not know they still made stuff in Lancaster PA.

Lol in time...in time... Box is a freekin mess right now. Just stuffing things in waiting for the new box. Drivin the OCD in me crazy! Lol
As for what I work on, it's mostly my own junk. Heres the only pic I have uploaded at the moment. Just picked her up a couple weeks ago...64 JD 110. Due for a strip and a repaint (PO did a rattle can/brush job on it) and hoping to return it to top (well, better, anyways) working order. New tires Then the hunt will be on for a snow blade that fits.

Also do some maintenance on the family "fleet", my motorcycle, etc. Nothing major, just a. Hobbyist really.

I just picked up a brand spanking new Snap-on 1/4" QD1R200 for $130 through CL today. Considering that this thing cost $266 off the truck, I think I scored big time. :p He originally wanted $200 but I was able to talk him down a lot. This was the last piece I needed to complete my torque wrench set.

Why the beam style? I thought clicker style easier to hear then trying to see it? I do have a Snappy clicker, C'man beam and Snappy 1/4" dial inch pounds. Maybe the PI digitel is good?

Usually beam type is used when setting up bearing preload, to measure drag, like when replacing pinion bearings.

Canuckian: awesome JD 110! That is one of my favorite JD models. Where did younfind it? How's the engine running?

Thanks! Been looking for one for a long time but everybody seems to want your right arm and first born for one! This one came up on Kijiji just outside of Halifax for a steal so I took the afternoon off and went and snagged it. Works like a top! Mower works pretty good as well. I think I may need to replace a couple squeaky bearings but that's about it. getting rid of those goofy chrome headlights too and seeking out the originals. Gonna be a sweet ride once I'm done (I hope!lol)
S-F1 -going for the 68 inch epiq. Dealer offered me a better trade on it over a KRL so I couldn't say no!

I'll add a few.
Shlf80a off ebay
Pass through 1/4" wobble extension/driver that I made
Punch and chisel set off ebay with punch and chisel holder
SK metric long pattern 19pc set, not sure the future of that. I don't need more wrenches, but it was a good deal
And of course, the Jegs mat!

Supra, would you mind sharing what that Shlf80a from ebay cost you, delivered? I've been shopping for one a while now so I'm really curious what people are giving for them. They all seem pretty close to Snap On retail price to me. Thanks.

The PI is so nice, I love it so far. Not sure the manufacture date of the KD but I'll double check. I did order it as new last week from Tool Topia.

Not really a tool, but for my birthday I bought myself a Craftsman 6 foot workbench. After the sale price, discount code and some Craftsman Club points it came out to $141 out the door. Im 6'11" so I love the almost 42 inch height of the table. Assembly was a breeze. I plan to add the back board to it and some shelving units under the bench in time. Actually my latest tool purchase is in the pic on the bench, the Craftsman 3 piece pry bar set that was on sale last week for $19.99, a great set and price!

and nevermind the 2 seats for the bench, just some left over dinner table seats, hopefully when the craftsman stools go on sale Ill pick up one or two.

They are a tough deal to find. Lightly used, I got it for $140 shipped.

The wrench is really thin, Facom makes "thin profile" wrenches for jam nuts and tight situations. I have a whole set of them, I bought most of them from McMaster. Ultimate Garage and MSC have better prices if you're buying a whole set. I got that one this week, but I have been buying each size as I need them over the last 2-3 years.

How do you like these? I was pondering getting the cheaper version of these

bahco-808050p-pistol-ratchet-screwdriver.jpeg

The Snap-on is awesome. Well worth the price!

I will add, that the grip is great. It locks in left and right to fit the right hand or left hand. I'm not a huge fan of the ergo tools, but this one is fits my hand like a glove.

Few snap on stuff, snap on screwdriver is a collectible (wont be anymore), armstrong ratchet is really comfortable FWIW.
