Just bought a set of these from Lowes. 2 wrenches. They may come in handy, you never know. Has anyone ever had the need for them and for what?

Cool looking but I will never buy them. Too pricy to gamble on waiting for the time I might actually need one.

I don't have any but seems to me that would come in handy in particular situations, such as: intake manifold, exhaust manifold, bell housing bolts/nuts, and starter bolts.

I haven't used one since the days of twisting distributors for timing.

I could have used a 10mm half moon wrench to remove the idle air control valve on a Contour. Ratcheting one prob would not have fit, though.

I have an old C-man half moon wrench that says it is for starter bolts IIRC.

Frankly, I don't miss: distributors, caps, points, rotors, condensers, carburetors, plug wires, adjusting valves or generators! My newer Volkswagen (2002 New Beetle Turbo S: 1.8T) is to the point were all you have to do is change plugs, filters, clean mafs and throttle bodies! Aside from specific replacement intervals on timing belts, water pumps, tensioners and serpentine belts this thing doesn't require much in the way of "tuneups" at all!:bounce:
