I Would defiantly invest in pink tools just because of the fact that the other guys in the shop won't have them.. it would make it easy to spot when someone has taken your tool so most likely they won't take it.

In the early to mid 90s when "day glo" colors were all the rage; I don't remember people having a problem with pink, it was popular! I don't think it was viewed as such a "female" only color! In motocross, drag racing, motor sports etc; pink was used everywhere! I guess the day glo color appreciation has died down; oh well...

Could be any of the reasons you mentioned. For me, my wife likes them and they make a great addition to her mothers day gifts. She has just about all the pink tools snap on has put out in recent years and uses them regularly along with the rest of her tools. I have a few in my toolbox as well. I just think it's a pretty cool color. Little break from normal I guess.

for me its mainly because their rare and a break from the norm, same as white or blue (or any other odd/rare colors)
