So Last year the Mrs and I decided to purchase a new 2011 Ford Escape. I'm no auto mechanic but I can fix the little things. This is since this is brand new nothing has broke on it so I haven't had a chance to get my hands dirty. But just in case something happens on the road. What are some tools you would generally want as a stash pack. I have a little compartment in the back this will go in. From my visual overview. All metric, lots of torx. I'm going to start putting this together slowly in a small Klein size zipper bag. No room for big fixes just the small stuff. My thoughts currently are
Metric 1/4 drive set. Shallow or deep.
Also thinking of SAE in case I need it for non vehicle issue. (pending room)
1/4 ratchet.
Torx Bit set
Flash Light, Headlamp style in case I'm changing a tire in the dark by myself.
Seriously considering a 18 breaker for lug nuts.
PH1
PH2
Wera Chiseldriver for double use as a prybar.
Needle nose
Telescoping Magnet
Most important. Beer and wine bottle opener.
Edit:
Also thinking some **** splices with crimpers. (yes/no)
7 inch Water pump pliers
Any else someone can suggest that has a or has worked on a ford escape.
Thanks in advance.
