Air pressure Regulator recommendations?

Looking for an air pressure regulator that I can mount on the wall next to the compressor.

I have a cheap one from lowes, but they are so cheap they didn't include the mounting bracket and I can't seem to find one anywhere.

So I guess its just easier to get a new one with a bracket.

Do you have any recommendations for an inexpensive pressure regulator and/or filter dryer unit? I don't want harbor freight cheap, but don't want to spend hundreds of dollars either.

Must be wall mountable.

I only use it to air up the tires, remove lug bolts and stuck nuts. I also have wood working tools that use air, nailers, sanders, etc. Overall very little use. 60 gallon compressor.

Most of the quality units don't have brackets, since they are typically plumbed onto metal pipe which itself is supported. Parker, Wilkerson, Norgren, Watts, and Speedaire are quality units. A combination regulator/filter won't typically have a bracket but some of the filter/regulator/lubricators do, but for a DIY person the lubricator isn't useful IMO.

I am using boring old 1/2" copper, and while I have the copper bracketed to the wall, I think I would be better off with a wall mounted unit because that will make it easier for me to plumb.

I gather that, but it will cost me more than the regulator is worth to make one or buy one.

On another note, while looking for a bracket, I found out this particular regulator likes to explode.

So I think its time for a replacement.

Many of the new regulators, separators and lubricators are made to be ganged together will special mounting brackets. The one in the pic above is an example. While it is threaded, it can also be mounted with a "block" that clamps on each end on the square flange. That block can be used to join it to a filter, or to simply hold it, as the block has mounting feet made on to it.

Spend some time in a Grainger catalog, and you will see.
