Got mine today, but no price list.

No price list like many catalogs as they change quaterly, yearly or until the next catalog is printed much like the rest of thte tool world. :)

Use the cat part # and go online for current pricing.

Much like Euro car parts, restaurants and many other things in life, prices change. The catalog was to show the current tool stock offerings. I will bet your driver may have a printed current price list but those I talk to do not keep them handy or keep them around due to the fluctuations.

It's like trying to print a 200 page gas price catalog and keep it current for 3 years. LOLOLOLOL.

I guess the local SO guy doesn't want my money, called the number on the catalog I got over the summer and sent an email, also called the 800 number to have somebody get in touch with me...nothing!

I got mine on Monday. My guy said that he only got 40 so he was not handing them out to everyone, but because I go to him and dont work in a shop he gave one to me without asking. I guess I spend too much money with him haha.

Same here, I used the websites "find a rep" and left a email 2 different times with 2 different drivers in my area and neither of them called me back. About a month ago I was over the bridge in OH and pulled up beside a dealer van and I followed him. I talked to him and he seemed real nice and gave me his card and told me to call him when I needed anything. I gave him a call about 2 weeks ago to get somethings and told me where to be and I got my stuff. I went to call him last week and he wont answer or return my calls. I assume because I turned down his offer to open a revolving account, and only spent about a $100 the first time on the truck. ****** :dunno:

Guess I'll have to order a catalog online, or stop by a truck if I see one :(

I coulda told ya actually "getting" one was NOT going to be an easy feat. LOL.

Unless you are on a big $$$ route or work in a big facility where a driver is going to see a ROV on the catalog give out, they are mainly gifted to the tool purchasing guys/girls in the purchasing dept. or the big dude that oversees the tool cribs or the shop manager at the bigger repair dealerships.

We're not talking Bass Pro Shop, Abercrombie and Fitch and Land's End printing #'s and mass mailings here.

Buy one for a few bucks online and be done.
If a driver only got 40 catalogs and avg's 50 stops per week, that's less than one per shop, and I'm guessing each stop avg's 3 or 4 employees unless industrial.

That math don't work. See.

The funny part is, I got the 2011 catalog just by seeing the guy at Sears, walking up to the truck, and asking for one! He was selling tools to the Automotive Center guys. Now I can't get ahold of him lol

Got my 2012 Snap-On catalog today.

650 pages of "Oh damn, I need that" goodness.

Easier to browse than online if in a hurry.

Jeff , I;ll see if I can score you one from one of my local dealers. It's heavy so shipping may be a few bucks.

Good luck trying to order a 2012 catalog online. I tried (using P/N CAT 1200 and CAT1200) with no success. A call to customer service where I was told they are available online using P/N CAT 1200. I tried again with no success. The customer service rep even tried and couldn't find it. :willy_nil

Catalogs are the only thing we get free from Snap-on. We can order as many of them as we want at no charge.

Thanks for the FYI Chadster.

I got a push back from my major route driver saying they all went to buyers and industrial/big business tool crib guys/gals and I understand that, but there was a sense that getting more was not an easy feat.

Like most, I'd be happy to pay a small sum to help offset teh price of printing and shipping, but like many other things in life, the manner of procuring things in demand often makes no sense.

Today I had access to the one I asked for last month and did not ask any questions.

For a 3/4" thick catalog weighing a good 2lbs., in the right hands Snap-On will make a lot of money off of it as they have in years past.

Dead trees still do sell tools.

Not sure about the availability of "official" Snap-on price lists but after doing a little Google-fu I have located price list spreadsheets from several States that list the retail and discounted price of Snap-on stuff. Those discounted prices sure looked good.

I ordered mine (here in canada) using CAT1200 with no problem, it cost $5 but I'd spend that in gas hunting down the SO driver in my area anyway. The catalog is truly not much different than CAT1100. However the addition of a $23,000 Epiq Mr.Big has made me think of stupid ideas of how to get that kind of money...like selling my body on the street corner...

Hey Jeff. If you still need one I have one. I can get another as well. I am in Parma. My Snap On guy comes to my shop on Mondays around 2-3pm. He is the best tool truck guy I have ever had.

I called Snap-on customer service yesterday and they told me they are out of catalogs now because of a production issue! If I could find a truck near work I'd stop by AND spend cash money, but I can't get anyone to call me back. Could you PM me with his info?

This past thurs (4/26) finally got to see my snap on dealer and wanted to get a new catalog....seems like there are issues with the new catalogs and said dealers were sent an email from corporate informing dealers to recall all the catalogs...

but he gave me one anyways, saying..."I cant remember all the people i gave the new catalogs to"

new catalog-no major changes...but my number 1 complaint is...keep the blue point hand tools out of the snap on section, either have there own blue point section or a totally separate catalog...jus my 2 cents

Whaaaaaaaaaa.

Quit whining. Jebus. :(

Blue Point plays by different rules and has different bylines but fills in for what the S-O "main line" does not provide. But you knew that. Duh.
Then you could always buy a 3rd party part as well.

I've seldom have a Blue Point tool fail and if so, a new one is handed to me by my driver.

You sound like those GMC buyers that ***** about how Chevy trucks **** but you really are both drinking from the same teat. Hello? Pot meet kettle.
F*&^ me.

BS!!!

yes, blue point does provide tools that snap on does not make, but they do sell copy cat tools that snap on already makes such as combination wrenches (standard and ratcheting) page 92 vs. page 93, page 96 vs. 101, and blue point pliers pg. 162-163

and you sound like a buyer who is willing to buy sub standard blue point tools because its cheaper than the same identical snap on tool....

Agreed.
But.......LOL

I;ve used the BP ratcheting combo wrenches for a decade (Taiwan COO) with NO issue.
To quote Teri Hatcher from the Seinfeld episode...: "They are real, and yes, they are spectacular".

You are correct though and I forgot. S-O does compete with themselves /BP (the service sets in 1/4 and 3/8 for an example) but for the most part they are in a non-compete area or the driver can tell you the difference.

I personally know the difference so I don't get all "****-hurt" by the catalog.
Sounds like YMMV.

All ya really need to do is check the price. Sadly, that says it all.
But--again, you knew that.
:)

I got the new catalog about 2 weeks ago and I have to say I'm just not that impressed. Its got a few new things in it, but nothing that stands out as a "Wow, need that". It certainly didn't stand up to all the hype that my SO guy was leading me to believe. Its still new though.
