My Daughter gave me an early Fathers Day present when she dropped off her car for me to work on. No pix, But I ended up buying a pair of the cable operated Craftsman hose clamp pliers. They worked pretty good so far, and maybe even better once I master them. Yeah they are made in France, But better then the pliers I bought at Advance. These ones.

Few new things off SO truck.

-Bluepoint bare/weather proof terminal crimpers (got sick of no feel and bulk from ratchet crimpers)
- External/Internal convertable circlip pliers (I love these) came with free micro shears too.
- Files with free mini files set.

I've always used regular screw drivers on DZUS fasteners. I was a bit surprised when I saw an actual driver for them in the Snap-On catalogue. I've been meaning to pick one up, just to see what the difference is.

Jeff, thats an old carb adjuster set. got it off CL very cheap. it was rusted up pretty good and the handles had so much mold/mildew that you could not see the Snap on logo. Bought them and cleaned them up and the set looks unused. don't know if I'll ever use it or not, but I got real cheap and it was local. I never seen one like that before.

Same here. Used a regular screwdriver myself. The DZUS driver was on the truck thought I give it a try. I dont know if I would order one though.

Had to happen sometime I guess! I liked the regular QR ratchets so I guess this was just a natural progression.

PIcked up a new shovel at Sears today. Craftsman Club had them for $16.19 and the kid rang it up, it showed 17.99. So he asked another sales dude andthey look at the flyer. I'm thinking to myself, you need to scan my card for the price to come down. He overrides the price to $16.19, then scans my card. It takes off an additional dollar eighty. After tax, it came up to less tha the advertised sale price.

I stopped by HF to pick up a box of 2" chip brushes, while I was there I grabbed a bench brush for 2 bucks.

Hazet 802's came in today, NWS set came in the other day. Got the 5 piece starter set plus 2 phillips to complete the set. Also got ~70 Craftsman/SO/S-K sockets for $40 at the pawn store. Socket pictures later.

You can swap the grips on the rachets? I did not know this! How do you do it, do they twist or pull off?

Some people dip the handles in hot water for a few minutes and pull them off. I usually wrap a cloth around the chrome, clamp it in a vise, put an open end wrench where the handle meets the chrome and pry on that with a pry bar till the handle slides off. To put the new one on, line it up, push it down as far as you can with your hands and hit it home with a dead blow hammer.

A MasterForce 4lb sledge/engineers hammer, made in China but lifetime warranty
A couple MasterForce impact sockets, my older SK set only went up to 13/16 so I picked up a 15/16 and 1"
And this Task Force level from Lowes for $4, made in the USA
