The compressor went bad in my battery booster last week. Has anyone found a replacement compressor that could be installed in one of these?

It might be cheaper to buy new unit or use as is.

Good job describing what type/model.

Might want to post a pic or a model # and mfgr.

As Skang stated, usually they are a one-and-done use kind of tool.

Even the jump-pak batteries go bad over time adn are not worth the cost to replace.

HF 12v cigarette ligher compressors are under $15.

How old is it?

Is it under any type of warranty?

Basically as previously stated, a lot of these are all-in-one unit's that are probably a lot more to repair than to buy a new one...

It's a few years old, or I'd take it back to Costco. It'd be worth it to me to buy a new compressor part for $30 or $40.

If you can replace the compressor for a fraction of what you paid for the entire unit and it's easily repairable then I would say go for it.

Without having seen one of these torn down in detail, is the compressor pump you linked to earlier the same size & style?

I haven't torn it down yet. I did tear down another one a few years ago, and the compressor in it was similar to the one I linked. I suppose, one of the $15 cigarette lighter models probably has the same compressor as well. I'll tear it down and give that route a try and report back if I'm successful.
