Both my 25 dollar Amazon gift card and Bosh tools shipped today. Will send in for the two free batteries once I get it.

I finally pulled the trigger on this Bosch set. The battery rebate form states you need to send in the package UPC and the original receipt. My assumption is that since I bought this on Amazon, the reciept will be shipped with the product?

I know there is a Sears deal thread but its overflowing with discussion about sockets so posting this here, just arrived a few hours ago. It seems to be hinting that the points are specifically for sporting goods but they seem to be just plain old points that can be applied to anything. Just applied them to the master set of craftsman bolt-outs. Ymmv but check your email or rewards account. Free $10 is fine with me.

Burned those points up today.

Just received my order three days later. Not bad for free shipping!

Would you happen to know the input rating for the charger? Is it 110-240Volt?
I'm flying over to the states soon, and with the dollar being low it's very tempting to get a Bosch 18Volt set there, but if I have to get a second EU charger it's a little less tempting, still very tempting, only a little less:bounce:

I was at sams and saw rolls of foam liner for $9.98

These are 40 sq ft rolls 20 inchs by 24 feet long, the rolls at harborfreight are 9 sq ft.

The Performax liner also states it's Rust & Corosion resistant if that helps. It's not the waffle pattern with all the holes in it like the stuff for dish's. Oil, fuel and such may destroy the kitchen stuff as it's not made for tool box's.

No, just a packing slip, you need to print the invoice from one of the screens that show the details of the transaction. It will say something like print invoice or invoice.

'Tis no longer the season to be thinking about it, but CPO has Milwaukee heated jackets on sale. From what I saw the "tool only" is $99 and kits are $140.

http://www.cpomilwaukee.com/milwaukee-heated-jackets/milwaukee-heated-jackets,default,sc.html

This was not an email promo, I just stumbled upon it at cpomilwaukee.com main page.

Still too bad we can't get the black ones here in the US through normal channels. A few ebay sellers and retailers close to the Canadian border offer them tho.

K-mart and Sears both have 42 piece Craftsman tool kits on clearance for $15 and $11.47 respectively from $29.99. They aren't going to fill any chests but, for the price, they are handy to leave in a glove box.

Here's the one:

Just found what I'll spend my $10 worth of points on, thanks.

Yeah number is 33042 but doesn't compute on their site. Oh well I'll save gas not driving in. Amazing what searching "42-pc tool set" brings up that has nothing to do with any of that on Sears site. Google found it in seconds. There is also an identical $30 Evolv kit that probably drops below $20 every now and then.

Figures the only store with that 42 piece Craftsman kit is the furthest one away.

I would have picked one up at that price if closer.

The US ones are 120v the european ones are 240v. There are 2 different chargers, not dual voltage. What you can do is spend 25 dollars and get a transformer that converts 240v down to 120v. That is what I do with my charger, cheaper then getting the 240v charger. You can pick them up at any radio shack.

for those people who like the HF boxes/tool carts

get the June issue of MotorTrend magazine

this tool cart has a coupon for 99.99 (save 130)
http://www.harborfreight.com/580-lb-capacity-four-drawer-tool-cart-95659.html

and they have their usual 99.99 coupon (save 100) on the 1 ton foldable engine hoist

9.99 torque wrenches, 34.99 auto-darkening welding helmets, 69.99 3 ton rapid pump floor jack etc etc etc

Does the red one (5 drawer) ever drop this low?

Always wanted the 5 drawer but for 100 if the 4 drawer is built just as well I might pull the trigger on it.

The red one never gets this low. The lowest it gets to is $150 (since you can't use a % off coupon on them anymore).

The black cart is not built as well as the red. Really not even close. Not that the black is horrible, the red is just that awesome. The black feels very homeownerish while the red feels professional.

100% agreed, went in to HF to buy the black for $99, luckily they had one on display and after feeling how it was built and the red one right next to it, it was hands down get the red pro one, I paid $179 with coupon and it goes to $149 with coupon now, but I had to have something and I just couldn't buy the black one knowing I'd be taking it to the scrap yard within a few weeks. The red US GEN PRO 5 drawer could be the best deal out there for a small roll cart.

I also drool over the US Gen. 56" bottom box. Man that thing looks and feels good, not even counting the price.

Get it. I wish I didn't wait so long. It's hard to find tools when they are shoved under the work bench in cardboard boxes.

Heh, I forgot to mention for now I can "deal with" my 41" stainless Craftsman box ;) Not built as nice as the US Gen. box but was still 200.00 or so cheaper.

I just spent enough on Gladiator cabinets that the wife will probably have a cow if I came home with a 700.00 toolbox that I dont really need.

I found these at a local Kmart, bought 2. 3 or 4 still left in the store.

Good deal for the price, everything USA made except the zipper case.

I hope this doesn't disappear in all the posts - has anyone seen this metal pegboard kit from sams club? $35 for 2' x 4' total area with hooks and 6 bins
http://www.samsclub.com/sams/shop/product.jsp?productId=prod6250214&navAction=push

Cheapest I've seen. Only downside I can see is that the panels are 2' x 2', not 2' x 4'. Not a deal breaker, just more bracing. Don't know how thick, but it is powder coated.

Anyone have experience with returns from Sam's online?

That's a weird coincidence my other box is the 41 inch stainless Craftsman. I paid a lot more than that for it. Last year I think it was $1050. I really like it but wish it had less shallow drawers.

One thing I noticed on the $15 Craftsman set is there is a extra pair of elastic loops that none of the tools go to.

It is between the plastic bag of allen wrenches and the two open ended wrenches.

I put Craftsman ignition pliers there, fits good.

I may go back this weekend and pick up the rest of the sets that are left and give them out as stocking stuffers for Christmas.

Also, I added the adaptor so I can use the screwdriver with the 1/4" sockets as well. Not sure why that is not part of the set.

Picked one up at kmart tonight and man these must have been sitting around for awhile, the sockets are not laser etched and surprisingly all of the tools in the kit are basically perfect. I haven't seen a set of craftsman this well made in a long time. Well worth the $15. I wish all the new craftsman stuff looked this good

Got one last time they were $25. Trust me and the reviews on the website, it's not worth 25 cents. If that thing makes 25 foot pounds at 130psi I would be amazed.

I agree with that. I bought one on black Friday and my thought was "hey, How bad could it be right? It is the WOST impact Ive ever used in my life. The cheap no name impacts are a 1000 times better then this one. I put a lug nut on at 60ft lbs and it would not budge it. Forward torque was around 30ft lbs, The highest torque bolt it would remove was 45ft lbs after about a full min of impacting. The first one was so bad I thought it was broke. The exchange, was worse then the first one. HF would be ashamed to put their name on this impact. :lol_hitti

No joke: Even at 155psi with 1/2" air line, my porter cable cordless drill has alot more torque then this impact. worst tool I have ever purchased.

WIHA dead blow $25
This is the 30mm 21 oz

I also bought the 35mm 24 oz for $29, but it looks like the price shot up. Might be worth watching if anyone wants the larger size

Hope this post doesnt get lost in the sears socket set blow-out that has consumed this thread recently.

Does anyone have an exta set of SAE and metric swivel 3/8" sockets? When I stopped at our sears there was a guy that bought a full cart worth of them, even had them bring out the stock in the back of the store. Wouldn't let me have any though and I only wanted a few sizes...
