This is the best auction haul I've ever had. And i didn't even attend the auction. I was working night shift this week and the wife had a 3d ultrasound of the baby scheduled. So several weeks ago i met up with the auctioneer and dug out the good stuff and he took my bids. Well here is what i got. $466.73 worth. Great NOS stuff. I'm sure i will have to sell something, but i'm going to enjoy a little while first.

Here is a link to the listing http://www.auctionzip.com/cgi-bin/auctionview.cgi?lid=1414793&kwd=tool&zip=27573&category=0

More pics coming.

Ugh that Proto screwdriver set is beautiful. Something about those handles i've always loved.

Did you see the cardboard box they came in?

Oops missed that in the pics.

What brand are the wood handled screwdrivers? I have 2 of those laying around my work toolbox and love the way they feel in my hand. I only use them when i really have to torque on something and to this day, they have never failed me

That's awesome! I met a guy from craigslist the other day to pic up a gold plated snap-on collectors wrench, he was showing me the stuff he got at an auction. Heres a list

Slightly used Snap-on MG725 Impact gun $10
New Snap-on battery powered impact ratchet $5
Used Snap-on Full Metric Wrench set $15

I couldn't believe it.

I think I'm going to bookmark your post for use as reference.
What's in the Walden socket set?
Are those breaker bar repair kits? Are those available today? If I had one of those, there's an ebay auction I'd pull down immediately.

Enjoy your haul!

The walden is a refrigerator ratchet with odd duro sockets. I'll take a better pic.

There are two 3/8 breaker bar repair kits. They are SK Wayne.

I have that exact box from Craftsman, circa 1980 (sheesh I'm old).

Hey, is that an Indestro or Wizard socket set in the top/center of this image?

Did you get any of the stuff for less than the bid you left with the auctioneer?

Really nice haul.....I've always had a soft spot for S-K, the first set of tools I can remember dad having....back in the late sixties.

Yes most things came in a little under my max bid. There is a dealer at the fleamarket that was at the auction. I'll ask him how the bidding went and if he though the auctioneer was fair to me.

Nice haul and YOU ****, but there is something seriously wrong with your truck, dude!
The tailgate liner is all black and shiny, and doesn't have any junk caked in the slots or other signs of damage or wear.
Did you just buy that?

Of course it;s the best auction EVAH because you had an "in" with the auctioneer and "cherry picked" all of the best ****. Helllllllllooooooooo.
Duh.

We should all be so lucky . :)

I hope you keep most, if not all, of it instead of flipping it.

Nice haul. I would have been happy to bring all of that home for less than $500.

By the way, you **** (with a capital "S") for those square shank Proto screwdrivers with the original freaking pouch AND box  I have only managed to scrounge up one of those, well-used of course. Very nice set you scored there.

Yeah, those Proto screwdrivers are gems; with or without the box. Great haul.
Congrats

I wish I was a woodworker, with a nice shop, and a big old woodworker's bench, just so I could use those screwdrivers while building things.

Great haul!! Had to be a little unnerving when you first got the bill.

What is the little hex gizmo in the drawer between the Chinese crowsfeet and the little bicycle wrench?

Well, didn't get to "cherry pick" all of it. There was a large old Matco box full that was off limits. There were also four 6' foot long tables next to the box full of random stuff that the seller hadn't decided what he was keeping. I missed out on what looked like a complete Craftsman BE or H 1/4 set, and several small bicycle/adjustable wrenches.

I heard there were lots of box lots from the stuff on the tables. Whoever got those did pretty good too.

Most will be kept. Waiting for a day that i am off and the wife is working to sneak the good stuff to the back of a closet and out of the shed.

Is that a Mossberg bicycle wrench in photo #7 of the first post?
I picked one up in a box of stuff a couple of weeks ago. Mine is model #11.
