Finishing a Concrete Display Floor?

My mom supports a small-town museum which has just added a 2500 square foot display hall. The floor is concrete. It won't see frequent traffic (open on Sundays, scheduled tours and events), but the displays will include heavy agricultural equipment.

Their ordered priorities are

• Ease of cleaning
• Longevity
• Appearance
• Cost

They sound like they're leaning toward epoxy, but I'm not sure how firm that is. Do any approaches stand out to you, epoxy or otherwise? Thanks.

A lot of us do special pricing for small non profit projects like this. Let me ask you a few questions. What type of museum is it? Do they run equipment to move displays? School kids, I think of noise (sorry) is that an issue? What is the layout of the 2500 Sq. Ft.

Thanks for the reply. Size ie 50' x 50'. It's the Coats Museum, dedicated to the heritage of the town and surrounding areas. They'll have some permanent displays and rotating dislpays. I'm going to guess farm tractors will both be used to move the bigger displays and be on display, along with other agricultural equipment. They've put a 10x8 door in the building, so they have some expectation of large displays.

I like the idea of a polished or stained and sealed floor. Really like. The museum member I spoke with isn't on the construction committee, but I wanted to do some research before I called the committee head. Epoxy is bar far the most popular solution for this type of application. That said a high end PVC tile would work well too. It would have to be adhered in the areas where the floor would be driven on by large equipment. I would also recommend a top coat.
