thats the old 1

Hmmm....

I'm not familiar with how Snap-On numbers their catalogs. The one on the website that I linked to is 1100.

According to Chadster1 (who is a Snap-On dealer), he doesn't expect a new one to be released until the second half of 2012, which would be catalog 1200. More info in this thread:
http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=140941

He says they don't release new catalogs on a yearly basis.

DOUBLE EDIT-
In another thread, Chadster said the catalog was expected in April. If it was released, it just must not be on the website yet.

So, if there a catalog between 1100 and 1200? If there isn't, then the one on the website should still be the current one, as far as I can tell.

new 1 is cat1200, IIRC

Some guys like me like to hold an actually copy rather than flip through on the computer. Might be the case with the OP

TO the OP-

Have you tried calling Snap-On? I'm sure they'd be willing to send you one, especially if you'll pay.

Well the newest one was a "mess up", the 1200 catalog, the re-print will be out maybe next week. I have the 1100, and the 1200 "mess up" if that's all you want is to see what they have? But if you wait a week, it could even be this week, my SO guy comes on Thursday, I can get you one, just pay the shipping?

I was on the Snap On truck on Monday and he said the new catalogs have a "trademark" infringement in them. They are all being recalled and new ones are being shipped ASAP.

So if you can't get one today, give them a week or so.

I wonder if anyone is going to get spanked b/c of said infringement? Who ever is in charge of proof reading is not going to get a bonus this year, that is my guess. lol.

------------------------

I too would rather hold the catalog and flip back and forth between the pages. Their website will only let you open a page at a time and won't always let you open individual tools in their own window.(right click, new window) It is hard to compare them when you have to do all this the hard way.

The website is good for checking to see if something is in stock at the warehouse. But other than that, I like my paper catalog.

Expect the new catalogs to be available May 14th. Untill then, you will not find any. They are not allowed to be distributed.

As mentioned above, the new revised catalogs are being printed as we speak so NO ONE can currently get one.

One the new catalogs 1200 are reprinted than call WI and someone in customer service will ship you one.

Catalogs on the trucks are hard to get in the first place currently thus leaving nothing to give away. They've only been out 30 to 60 days in the first place so there's not a ****-load out there to begin with.

Once we hear they are back on the streets, call Customer service or order one online on the snap-on site. They have a part no. that Chadster lists in his thread about them.

i asked my dealer that mentioned the trademark infringement, what was it? he said he did not know. then I told him i probably would never recognize it even if i did see it. he said probably not, but for legal purposes they had to destroy them and fix the mistake.

so it sounds like something small, but they are covering their butts. i am sure it is some word that Gene Simmons trademarked and they don't want him suing them over it.

Side note: Gene Simmons of KISS, has the trademark rights to "OJ". so if anyone mentions OJ, referring to orange juice and did not pay him for it, he can sue them. he has many other things like this. kinda uncool if you asked me.
