I have a very old Viking fridge that works very well that I am saving for the new garage. It's one of the old rounded ones with a pull back handle (hinged at the bottom of the handle) I plan on flaming it when the garage is done. Yikes starting to sound like some of you guys already "when the garage is done" I have to tear down the old one first.

the longest a keg has lasted me is around 2 months.. and it was good til the last drop...

a keg of guinness i pick up for $170, to buy that in 6 packs = roughly $250...

I always thought you'd get more than 2 months out a proper keg setup. Is that really it? Or do you just empty them at that rate?

I used a regular refridgerator.....Now for the dumb move...I gave away the almost new fridge ...Why ?.......It kept tripping the breaker. I later realized that I had GFI outlets in the garage and they would trip when the comp. started,at least the church got a nice fridge.

My old Beer fridge died last year and I still haven't replaced it. The old girl had 15 years worth of racing stickers on her. My parents had it probably 8 years before I got it. I couldn't even take her to the dump to get rid of her, I had to get a couple friends to do it. Oh the memories..........

I'd like to make mine look like this someday. But I can no longer find the site that makes the kits. They had gas pump kits also.

hahaha, that looks soooo cool! Looking closely that is something you can do to any fridge even if you can't find the kit for sale. Just paint to match the rest of the tools boxes you have and attach the tool box details (I am guessing you can pretty much find all that stuff at a local hardware store). hummm... one more thing to the project list. I like it!

I would love to make mine look like the gas pump that was spoke of earlier. Anyone have any links or thoughts on where to begin?

I would think you can just paint your fridge to look like that. Paint it red. Then paint the black area. Then use some silver to simulate the drawers. Looks prety cool.

What if your garage is super hot during the summer? Does that put additional strain on the fridge?

Stupid question... just curious.

It puts additional strain on the fridge's owner. Sometimes to the breaking/consuming point. A large readable temp gauge alerts the owner that action may be neccessary.:beer::beer::beer::beer:

Here's the fridge in my buddies 26'x36'. I believe it's a 1946 General Electric. He shot it black, had his dad (who is an excellent pinstriper/letterer) do all the artwork, and cleared it. Oh, and he had a few pieces rechromed. It's very plain inside though, Miller High Life in the fridge, Jack Daniels in the freezer.

Here's mine. 1960's LaCrosse Pepsi can vendor. Bottled beverages go in the Ideal Model 55 Pepsi "slider".

Here's a couple shots of mine. It came with the house and I'm sure is killing me on the electric...but it does the job! Haven't decided if I want to try and paint it or keep it this awful color...

Mine's an old coke machine. Keeps the beverages extra frosty

Do you have a closer picture of the Coke machine. It looks great!

I'm looking for an old working Coke cooler chest like the one below. There's a fair number of them on craigslist and some more expensive ones on ebay:

This one would be cool too, but would only store bottles:

I might put in a 3rd tap if I get around to it. The soda keg has our micro brew in it. I can also fit a 1/2 and 1/4 at the same time if I just stick to 2 kegs.

The bar was repurposed from a church that was using it to hold keyboards and AV equipment. We confirmed that it doesn't turn bottles of water into wine.
